I scored a set of never used Atwood swing out brackets but with no instructions. If any of you have these on your camper a couple of photos would be appreciated. I found the instructions online but as they say " a picture is worth a thousand words"

Yep. I wrote a self-embarrassing thread on that subject.

I added the swing brackets in anticipation of my new flat bed truck. Until now, I just pointed the jacks forward and tightened the set screws so the jacks were against the top stops. When I unloaded the camper for the last time off my Ford SRW, I loosened the the jacks and locked them into the outside position. This weekend will be the first time I load the Arctic Fox on the DRW Ram and will see what kind of clearances I have in different positions. I was thinking the motors can be clocked to different positions on the jacks, but have not tried this yet. My thought was also to use thumb screws if they require constant fussing. If I just need to use the set screws to create resistance, I will use some blue thread lock on the set screws to hold them tight enough to cause a tight hinge.

Yes, planning on going to Granger this weekend to see if I can find something that would work.

RZAR66, I had always 'heard' the brackets were interchangeable. Comparing the 1st picture Bedlam upload with mine, I would also have some issues. If fully folded in 180ยฐ motor might hit, but more importantly the jack foot WOULD hit my Torklift mounts?.

Took a bit of looking, only pic I have that shows jack inboard. Scaled it up a bit but should see head isnt square to camper. Never checked, its more like 130ยฐ folded in from out position. IF motor hitting was your only problem I would cut another set of parking notches.

Looking at Bedlams second picture, Im not understanding the function of the set screws on the pivoting jack side of brackets at all. Ours pivot freely, though my locking tabs are deeper. I cant imagine, I mean it would take quite abit for the jacks to jump up & out of lock slots?

I sure cant imagine having to thread those every time I pivoted the jacks in or out. First I've heard anyone mention that was required on the Rieco mounts...Bedlam do you also thread the set screws locking the jacks?
It also appears the interlocking slots are square cut, ours are tapered? Does that cause problems as far as engaging if not perfectively in line or is there something else that aligns.
Curious design...Ive never looked closely at the HJ brackets either.

When fully folded in the jack foot comes very close to hitting the Torklift mounts.

There is some play within the notches of the jacks brackets. The set screws keep the brackets from moving within the confines of the notches. I guess you wouldn't need to tighten them but they would be constantly moving driving down the road.

I just bought a lightly used set of Rieco-titan swing out brackets to install on my Lance Atwood jacks. They are supposed to work with both RT's and Atwoods. When you swing them all the way in to the travel position the head of the Atwood Jack will hit the front of the camper. So I have to leave them facing forward and not inward. Also they have 4 little Allen set screws you have to loosen to swing out and tighten to keep them for moving. I'm really close to buying the Atwood brackets because of this.

Right side (passenger)

Left side (driver)

My Atwoods are identical. Top is the pin bolt. no left or right.

When mounted to camper bracket, the camper side of the swing-out bracket has a folded ear, on the left side it points in, and the right (shown)it points out, that threw me when originally installing. Any doubts just ensure when jack side swung out and moved up it locks. When swung forward/in and down it locks.

The camper is in the truck and all the holes line up. I was just trying to figure out top/bottom and whether there was a left and right. Thanks for all the replies and photos.

The Attwood jacks should already be bolted to a bracket on the camper. I did not have to remove the brackets at all. So no need to reseal anything. The Swing outs go between the bracket on the camper and the jack. All I did was drive the truck just under the camper enough to lower the camper onto the rear of the bed. Once the jacks were retracted and off the ground I put on the new swing outs. Piece of CAKE!!! I had to get the swing outs becasue I picked up a new DRW truck.
