Sunnybrook 27 FKS Slide Out doesn't work

Greetings,

16' single slide out is inoperable. The motor won't run when it's switched on as though its not getting any power. Inside dc fuse is ok.

Apparently the slide out can be pushed in manually if the switch is pressed?

Thanks for any replies, Mike
  • I had slide power problems on my TT, meaning also no power, unrelated brand. Turned out my issue was a fouled ground connection of the slide switch. The slide switch ground was connected to the frame directly below where the switch was. I was able to locate the fouled ground by systematically working backwards from the batteries testing all points independently on the 12V + wiring while using the frame as a separate ground. Then ultimately found that the ground used for the slide switch was fouled and needed to be removed, cleaned, greased and tightened. No problems since then.

Just a FYI for something to look into.
  • I would look around the motor... for a in-line fuse.. also the switch could be bad.. or the resettable fuse is bad.

my older coachman.. a resettable is behind the front frame of trailer and an in-line fuse at the slide motor.. and BOTH are for the slide motor power.
  • There may be a fuse or bad circuit breaker near the battery.
  • We had a 27FKS. It was an older model. There was a hand crank and if I remember, there is a place under the stairs where you use the crank.
  • Also you might ask this question on www.myrvtalk.com where there are more SB owners.
I have that same model and believe there is a manual connection to the gearing under the slide that is used to manually crank in the slide. Never had to do it so can't tell you more.
