I want to be able to go exploring off road in the truck without having ot deal with the camper
I think if your somwhere in CA that you can drive offroad , your probably not going to be questioned about removing the camper from your truck
In a national forest like El Dorado thats in mine and Reddogs back yard
CA has rules about driving off any road , thats not designated on a map , and then only during the dry season. The road can look like a dear trail but it has to be labeled on the map
That still leaves thousands of miles to drive on but thats a new rule 5 or so years old that you have to be aware of , or get cited
Some places you can only drive 2 truck lengths off a given road
Point is if your in a remote area and following those rules I dont think you will have a problem off loading your camper
Ive only twice ever been told I cant off load once at Clear lake state park and once at a private park in Half Moon Bay
