We are staying in a state park with the camper off the truck an supported under the camper by 2x4 an 4x4 along with the camper jacks ! No problems !
I was just in a California state park 2 weeks ago. I was specifically instructed not to remove the TC.
Of course I asked, why? :?
Ranger said it was for safety, in case a jack collapses (wind or failure) and the TC falls on a kid playing nearby. :E (Honest!)
Perception: TTs and FWs can get flat tires but TCs can fall over if off the truck.
Last California state park we stayed at acted like they have all the best of rules for everyone. At the same time wanting 35 bucks a night, expensive by Oregon standards, included was the same rule about not taking the camper off.
However, we had to leave, could not see the attraction, with lack of sleep from campfire smoke inundating the entire camp.
Most campers have smoked burgers... Not smoked Boogers. Sorry 'bout that comment but to have a clogged nose all night was no fun.
Now if they want the right kind of rules you have no fires after 10 PM. Now that's a rule worth paying 35 dollars for.
