Tire Pressure Monitor System

I have the TST system and I'm happy with it. From what I've seen here you should be happy with any of the top rated...tire tracker, pressure pro, tire minder or TST

I have the Tire Traker system and I am happy with it. I am not sure if other monitors do this but it would be nice to see all the pressures and temperatures on the screen at the same time without having to scroll through them all(not a big deal but it would be nice).

I have the TST 507. It has been losing contact with the sensors with increasing frequency to the point that it almost never works. Replacing batteries didn't help. TST said to add the repeater for $59, didn't help. It is currently back at TST for repairs. While I had these problems, the factory support is excellant. Will post back with results of the repair.

Love my Pressure Pro. Has worked great for many years.

I've read that you shouldn't use TPMS systems with sensors that screw on the valve stems if you have rubber valve stems as opposed to metal ones. Thoughts? I've been thinking of getting a system but I have rubber stems so am cautious.

with the TST system you can get an internal mount(it's part of the valve stem like an OEM system). If you don't get those, they recommend metal valve stems.

We have the TST-507 system with the Flow Through sensors. Have had the system for almost a year, and have put on 15,000 miles since adding the system. I'm pleased with the product and would recommend.

However, we did have a failure caused by the rubber valve stem vibrating due to the weight of the sensor. The wheels on our Chevy Dmax have a recessed hole that the tire valve stem sit down into, and the side of the valve stem rubbed against the top edge of the recessed hole.

The good news is that the sensor alerted to a slow leak. We got off of the freeway and had a tire company come out and swap out the valve stem. When we reached our destination, I had metal stems installed. We already had metal stems on the trailer tires.

I would suggest that metal stems be a part of this system install.

True with the units that use fairly heavy sensors such as Doran Pressure Pro (unit I have), which weigh about a half ounce. Doesn't sound like a lot of weight, but I guess centrifugal force with a rotating tire with a sensor attached stresses the brass/rubber stems. Until i get metal stems on our new TT's wheels, I stopped using it.

I am running the TST. Love that I can also see the temps along with the pressures. No issues to date. I added when I had new tires installed with the metal valve stems. I did make sure the balancing was done with them in place. Interestingly, each tire resulted in 1/2 - 1 oz directly across from the stem and monitor.

Update:
Got it back today, less than a week total turnaround. They replaced the repeater with the correct one. Their website was wrong and the 507 & 510's take different repeaters. The website is being corrected right now.
They also replaced the display as there was a possibility that it had a problem. I am pleased with the support and next week it will be tested on a trip.
