TPMS Tire pressure monitoring System

I just installed A TPMS System and noticed that If I leave the monitor turned on and leave my trailer, the monitor continues to report the last temperature and pressure it received when I was hooked to the trailer.

This is telling me that when towing, if it loses contact with a particular tire it will act like it is transmitting reliable data when it is the last temperature and pressure it was able to read.

This is very misleading. You could actually be running on a flat tire and the monitor is telling me everything is ok.

Is there a way to change this maybe thru a default setting?

In spite of the forum police, thanks to Sarah for the information. I have a Doran which rarely lost signal until I got a new truck,,going from 2006 Chevy Dually to 2015 Chevy Dually ,and now lose signals constantly. Guess I need a booster.

So how does Lemonis get away with it? ๐Ÿ™‚ Besides we've had reps post stuff before and it really is a nice feature to be able to directly ask the person-in-the-know a question.

Sarah, is there some reason for the very long delay with notification of loss of signal? An hour really does seem excessive.

Exactly, you may not need one and someone else might, but it's easy to figure out if you need it or not. You will experience signal loss if you need it, and your monitor will let you know that. Thank you for your input! I will keep an eye out to answer other questions.

Hey guys it's Sarah at TST. Just jumping in about signal loss. If your set up is getting past a certain length, say 28 feet, you'll probably need a repeater. It's not very expensive, and it's a plug and play device, no setup, easy. Once you've plugged that in, you'll have no issue with signal loss, unless you have some other issue, which can always be worked out and fixed if you let us know. Some folks need the repeater and some don't. It just depends on your coach and what other electronic equipment you have running etc. I recommend buying one and if you end up not needing it, full refund. No problem. I'll keep an eye out to answer any other questions. Thanks all!!

She is right. My Laredo never had a problem but those same sensors lost signal on the right side of new Montana. Put a repeater in the front bay next to the battery with a switch and it has worked perfect ever since.

The memory goes second because I can not remember what is first.

As for a TPMS I would go for the Pressure Pro system.

Hmm, I don't see any similarities between the Pressure Pro monitor and the Doran monitor. The Doran is a full LCD screen, the Pressure Pro is just a small red LED screen. Or I'm looking at the wrong items.

Well I thought I looked a video on the Pressure Pro site that had a monitor that looked like the Doran. But I can't find it now...

I looked at the Pressure Pro 16 monitor and it looks exactly like the Doran monitor so I suspect these are at the least sharing the same product.

Yeah, but did you also get hits for the "Pressure Pro" company? And did you find the Doran Pressure Pro RV360? Or just the Doran RV360?

When I searched I was trying to find the TPMS first mentioned which was the Doran Pressure Pro RV360. I found all the sites mentioned by everyone, which was why I originally asked if it was a "Pressure Pro" system or the "Doran RV360".

Now I know that it is not a "Doran Pressure Pro RV360" as it was first stated, it is the "Doran RV360".

All settled and is now clear as day. Seems like a good system, if a bit pricey, with just a niggle or two. I wish I had found it before my TST system.
