Apparently unsubscribe requests just disappear into a black hole. By design, "Unsubscribing" from Good Sam and Camping World solicitations is like playing a game of "Whack A Mole". You unsubscribe from one of their entities and they just double up on SPAM from another. Unsubscribe from that one, and yet another slightly different "nuance" or "division" will start spamming you. It never stops!! Wake up Marcus. You are angering and alienating customers with your SPAM emails.Re: Pilot GoodSam RV Plus Card Issues jdb7566 wrote: This seems to be an issue many things Good Sam. I logged into Camping World and suddenly my name is CLIFFORD CORDER. I contacted customer service and explained the problem and I was informed they have a new software program, and I was not alone, but would fix it promptly. That was two months ago. Gee. Kind of not unlike here. A Good Sam moderator responded to my original post and asked for my personal information via a private message. Other than, "thanks for providing the information" that seems to be where it stopped. No further response, no acknowledgement that there is a widespread issue with the Pilot/Good Sam cards, no mention of contacting Pilot....nothing.Re: Pilot GoodSam RV Plus Card IssuesThe latest response from Pilot/Flying J. Encouraging and confidence building ain't it? "Hello, I am sorry that this keeps happening to you. Due to the WEX glitch our guests accounts keep getting deactivated and unfortunately there is no way for us or them to stop it from happening. All we can do is advise our guests to call us and let us know the card isn’t working. I know how inconvenient this is and I wish that there was something else that we could do to help. Thank you"Re: Pilot GoodSam RV Plus Card IssuesA private message has been sent. Good Sam Care Team wrote: Hello AstroRig57, Thank you for your time and post. Please provide your Good Sam membership and contact number in a private message. We will be happy to look into this matter. Thank you, Good Sam Customer Care Team Pilot GoodSam RV Plus Card IssuesI’ve been having an issue with my Pilot/Flying J-Good Sam RV Plus card and it seems that I’m not alone. Anyone else having a similar experience? On 1/14/22 I received an email stating that my account was past due by $92.78. At the time it was current with a small balance. In telephone calls and emails to Pilot customer service I was told that there was an issue with their WEX (?) system and that it had erroneously sent past due notices to “many RV Plus customers”. I was assured that my account was active and current. On 1/25/22 I received another email, again stating that my account was past due by $92.78. Again, and via both telephone and email, I was assured it was a “glitch” with their WEX system and that my account was current and active. In the interim, my wife attempted to use the card and had it declined. At the time she was in too much of a hurry to go inside and deal with it so she paid from another source. On 2/5/22, and having paid my (actual) Pilot/Flying J statement so that I now had a $0.00 balance, I noted that my online statement said that I had $0.00 in available credit. I again contacted Pilot and was told, “We show that you have a credit limit of $1000.00 and $1000.00 available with a zero balance…..” What they show, and what my online statement shows, are apparently two different things. Today, 2/11/22, and having received all of their “assurances” I went to our local Pilot to purchase gasoline. Upon scanning my card I received the message, “See Cashier”. I want inside and told them what’s been transpiring with the card. They acknowledged knowing of an issue with the Good Sam RV Plus Cards. After discussing with colleagues and managers the cashier scanned my card at the counter and had me go pump the gas. When I returned she had me scan it again before telling me, “It says the card is inactive” and I had to pay with another funding source. Why they couldn’t figure that out before I pumped the gas is beyond me. So. Here I am with a Pilot/Flying J Good Sam RV Plus Card that the store says is “inactive” yet customer service says is “Active” and no one seems willing or able to fix it. I realize the issue is with Pilot/Flying J and their WEX billing system, but with other RV’ers apparently having the same issue, and with the Good Sam name also on the RV Plus Card, and it being marketed as a benefit of Good Sam membership, I thought Good Sam should be aware as it reflects badly on you as well. You might want to give a call to the folks at Pilot/Flying J and find out what’s going on.Online renewals...."Error....."Yeah. That would be nice if the online renewal system would work. The customer service email response is basically, "Yeah. We're having some issues with online renewals but we'll process your renewal at this Phone #####?"....no doubt accompanied by the requisite upgrade and "other services" offer. I just want to renew online...can't you get your IT guys to make that happen?Re: Insurance - Increase Every Year About $100 Cobra21 wrote: My Progressive rates have remained approximatly the same on our Class C for 10 years. Something doesn't seem right. We buy our autos and RV insurance on line. Brian Exactly. Same with our Class-A (and it was the same with our prior Class-C) also with Progressive. With good driving records and no claims on the RV rates have remained approximately the same, with a slight annual rate decrease, commensurate with the depreciation of the vehicle. It's the same with our passenger vehicles which are insured through State Farm.. Rates are broken down by area of coverage, as in comprehensive, collision, medical expenses.... Which area of coverage keeps increasing or it across the board?Re: A/C that's ducted without a wall thermostat? What brand is it? The old Carrier in our rig uses a wireless remote control via which you set the thermostat. Without that remote, you have just on and off controls on the unit.Winnebago Closing Junction City, OR pantSo much for the old Country Coach facility? KEZI - Eugene, OR "JUNCTION CITY, Ore. -- Winnebago Industries has announced they'll be letting go of 220 employees at their Junction City plant. Company officials said the change comes as they move their diesel manufacturing to Iowa. The Junction City plant has 250 workers and does diesel production for large RVs, as well as parts and services. Officials said the layoffs are only impacting diesel production employees and they plan to keep the parts and services operation going. They said the transition will be completed by this fall, but the layoffs could start as early as April.Re: Pilot flying j issue jim1521 wrote: I'm always surprised when people buy gas/diesel at Pilot/Flying J/Loves. Even with the discount cards, you're still paying MUCH more than the other gas stations that are usually right across the street. Often $0.30 - $0.50/gallon more. That adds up over time. How much of a discount are you getting? At the local Pilot here in Ft. Myers, they want $3.099/gallon for diesel. Everywhere else it's $2.699 - $2.799. That may be your experience, in your neck of the woods, but in the areas of the western United States where we frequently do the most travel the exact opposite is true. Pilot/Flying J and Loves are typically within a few cents of each other and the "gas war" between the two of them usually renders them $0.30 - $0.50/gallon less than other gas stations or MORE if those stations are major oil companies like Shell, Chevron, Mobil...etc.
