Most dealer's coaches have $40,000 plus in options. I am looking at about $12,000. I have included heat pumps, all electric, front overhead tv, docking lights, baggage door locks, keyless entry, pass thru storage tray, individual window awnings and a kitchen window. I am leaving out options such as washer/dryer, central vac, dishwaswher, freezer, exterior entertainment center, satellite dish, energy management system, power shades and Girard awning package. I am not leaving these options out just to keep the price down, I just don't think I need them. Any options I should reconsider?Size of the 1/2 bath in bath and a half floor plans.Overall the bath and a half floor plans would work well for us but the 1/2 bath in the Dutch star and the Ventana seem to be so small they are almost not usable. I am 6'4" so it is a concern for me. Anyone with the bath and a half have any comments?Re: Getting pre-approved for coach financingWill a credit union issua a loan if you have no other accounts with them?Getting pre-approved for coach financingTwo dealers are telling me there is no process for getting pre-approved for a loan. Seems like it would make some sense so as not to waste my time or a salesman's time looking at coaches I can't buy. I don't anticipate any problems getting the loan amount I need but think it would let the salesman know I am a serious buyer and would certainly help if a coach from a private party shows up. Anyone know of RV financing companies that do a preapproval process?Re: Drivers license requirements3882DOUG wrote: Do the state requirements everyone is talking about apply for driving on interstates also or just for state and county roads? They apply for driving on any roads in the US. You only need to worry about the licensing requirements for your home state, though, and that license is valid for all the states as there is reciprocity. You never need to get a different or additional license to drive on any roads in another state, provided the vehicle itself is permitted on the roads in question. (Actually, there may be a few odd cases involving such cases as agricultural vehicles or intrastate commercial vehicles where this general rule breaks down, but it holds for all ordinary personal driving and for CDLs.) Does the same reciprocity that applies to licensing also apply to coach length and overall length laws and do state length laws apply to the interstate roads in that state?Re: Drivers license requirementsDo the state requirements everyone is talking about apply for driving on interstates also or just for state and county roads?Freightliner or Spartan on new 40' Dutch StarAXLE TAG GVWR GCWR UVW NCC FRTLINER 4.63 10000 47000 62000 36700 10300 SPARTAN 4.78 12000 49000 64000 7300 11700 Both chassis are the same price. Have not had the chance to drive either yet. I do not know what difference the axle ratio will make on power or mileage and am wondering if the extra carrying capacity of the Spartan will result in a noticeably rougher ride. We will not need the extra capacity. Any thoughts?Re: UVW AND NCC OF 2011 MONACO CAMELOT 43DFTI do not have a specific coach in mind yet so no coach number available. not positive but I think the numbers given in a previous post allow me to calculate how much I can tow but not how much I can carry.UVW AND NCC OF 2011 MONACO CAMELOT 43DFTAnyone able to help me out on the UVW and the NCC of this coach? Having concerns on repairs with so few Monaco dealers around. I think the Monaco website only lists a couple in the United States. The proprietary Road Master chassis is a particular concern. Any one had experience with owning a coach whose manufacturer is no longer around or present only on a very limited basis?
