Or notA couple of months ago I was shopping at the supermarket and when I came out, I found that someone had hooked the lower part of the bumper on the drivers side. I got an estimate form a body shop ,called the local sheriff who said that I didn't need to report it as it was on private property and then notified the claims line. Got a call back from a lady in Florida, I live in Washington, and she quizzed me on how it happened and sent me the my claims pic link. Got a call back from her with an attitude that intimated that it was self inflicted. I called my agent and told him what happened and he pushed it up the ladder. A couple of days later I got a call from a guy in Arizona, who also gave me an attitude about it being self inflicted and that they had turned the pictures over to an accident reconstruction guy and that they had also determined that it was self inflicted. Now mind you this was determined on pictures that I took with my cell phone and no in person adjuster and was told that that I could get my own accident reconstruction guy if I wanted to at my expense. Nope and nope.. I will pay the repair and will be cancelling coverage with Nat Gen/Allstate as soon as I get coverage with another company. I have since discovered that Nat Gen/Allstate is cutting down on expenses by not hiring adjusters and cutting back on their service. I have been a customer of theirs for over 20 yeaRS.Generac quietpac 7500I have a '01 Tradewinds 7390 LTC with a Generac 7.7KW diesel generator and am having a problem with it staying running after letting go of the starter switch. I have changed to switches and checked the relay and breaker and fuses. We put a tester on it and found the alternator wasn't putting out enuff power to keep the diesel running. How ever, after putting the control panel back together, it started right up and kept running. Did this over several days and it kept working, but when we went on the road and setup in our campsite, the generator reverted to not running after the switch was released.installing a cutoff switchI just had to replace the 12V distribution panel on my '01 Tradewinds DP and now have discovered that I have a major battery drain which seems to be before the cutoff switch and really don't want to get the mobile tech out again. I am thinking about getting a regular marine cutoff switch and installing that to totally cut off the power. I am not worried about the alarm as I already had to disconnect that. There are two ways to connect these, one is to cut the cable and install connectors on each of the cut ends and the other is to get a post connector and not have to worry about cutting that big piece of copper cable and pressing new ends on it. So I'm looking for advice on this from folks that have done this.Re: no power from generatornope. it's still doing the same thing. sometimes it'll just kick right off and run well, but most of the time it just cranks slow and finally blows the 75 amp breaker which will be very hot.. I'm thinking that it may be the circuit breaker as the other day I had to reset because the jacks are retracting slowly and popped the 75 amp breaker.no power from generatorFired up the gennie and shock it started. Been having problems with that, but different problem. While I had it running, I decided to add a load to it, so turned on the A/C and the convection oven. No go. Checked the fridge and it was still operating on gas, then checked the power board and it wasn't showing any AC input, even after changing it to 50 amp. After running the gennie for a bit longer, I shut it down and plugged back into shore power and everything worked as it should. Wondering if this is the transfer switch and how do I test it? Fire up the gennie and put a tester on it to see if it's getting in? Way too long wait times to get it done at a shop.Re: Canyonlands-Capitol Reef, Worth the trip?Barry2go has everything in his post. Take a day or two in the Moab area and then drop down to Monticello and west across to Bryce, but taking your time. I went to a place called Ghost Ranch above Abiquiu, N.M. which is a Presbyterian National conference grounds, and where Georgia O'keefe had a home, for an Easter Week retreat and then spent nine days coming back to Bremerton solo. Most of that time was spent camping in the national parks. The weather was great, upper 50s to lower 60s in the day to mostly mid to lower 20s at night.Awesome trip starting with the first night out in Chaco Canyon and spending nights in Monticello,Natural Bridges N.P., Goblin Valley S.P, two nites in Capital Reef, 1 VERY cold, zero degrees, night in Bryce and then across to Great Basin, up thru Winnemuca and east side of the Alvord desert and Steens mtn, have been back there about 8 times. Then thru Burns to Bend and home. I did this in my '94 Cherokee and really rolled in between stops. Would do it again in a moment. By the way, both Ghost Rasnch and Goblin Valley were in the movies City Slickers. Ghost Ranch was in the scene where they all meet up and start the trip. Corrals and bunkhouse with Pedar Knoll in the background.Re: Blowing dust from campground roadSeveral years ago, we were camped in the redwoods, just north of Legget and there was a rental class C that went thru the campground several times looking for a campsite and he had his gennie running and it was blowing dust about 10 feet out from his rig. One of the campers stopped him the second time around and asked him to turn it off sand his reply was that he had to have it on so the air conditioning would work. What was also interesting was that he had driven right past the sign at the entrance that said campground full and then the second that said all campers must stop and register here.Eugene to Lincoln CityThis may sound funny but even though I have been over most of them, just not from the south, I'm looking for the best route to Lincoln City. I-5 to Salem, then 22 to 18 and over. 99 to 20 and across. this looks the more leisurely route and also takes me up a bit of the coast. I-5 to Lebannon to Corvallis and up to Dallas and across 22 to 18. 40' Tradewinds DP towing and a brand new rebuilt 3126BRe: Diesel Pusher Air Filter changeAfter having an air filter collapse because it got wet on the freeway, poor placement of the air intake on my Tradewinds 7390, and had pieces of filter possibly get into the engine,I change it every 12-18 months, no matter what. I can tell you from recent experience what a rebuilt Cat 3126B will cost you when it gets a dusted cylinder form several causes and one was the air filter.Re: Camping near la grande oregonWe stayed at one right as you come off the freeway into the center of town. It's kind of to the right and across the main drag with all the car dealers. Nice enough park with a little store and really nice people. We were there several days because our PSD Excursion decided to puke 4 injectors. The EX has 100,100 miles and ford wouldn't warranty it and the dealer basically sc####d us by charging us for full bore for replacing the three injectors on one side and then didn't replace the one on the other side that was bad. Stay away from him. But the campground was still nice.
