That is why I have to take the door frame apart. I don't know why they made it this way. I watched a video on youtube about replacing the latch and the person making it had his latch on the outside, all he had to do was take the two screws out and pull the latch with rod out. Mine is like that except the latch is on the inside of the door frame.Re: Bounder compartment doorThe latch is under the compartment frame. That is why I have to get the frame off first. This is where I am having my problem. ThanksBounder compartment doorI just purchased a used 1995 Bounder Class A. A couple of the compartment door latches are stuck in the open position. I would like to take them out and either repair or replace. The latches are held in with two screws, but the latch is inside the frame. I tried to take the two screws at the top and two at the bottom of the door frame out but the frame doesn't seem to want to come apart. I don't want to force it and bend or break the frame. Anybody know of something I am missing to take the door frame off? Thanks.bathtub replacement with showerHas anyone replaced the old bathtub/shower unit with a new shower unit? Is a drop in unit available? Getting tired of stepping into tub to take a shower. Thanksduo-therm thermostatI have a duo-therm by dometic analog thermostat in my 2003 Gulfstream Sunvoyager class A. It has system (cool, off, furnace) switch, a fan(on, auto, hi, lo) and a sliding temperature control. It does not shut the furnace off by temp anymore. If the temp is set to 50degrees it keeps right on heating. I'm thinking it sounds like the thermostat has gone bad. I would like to upgrade to a digital. It has six wires(red, yellow, white, blue, gray & green). Anyone have information on this? Thanks.Slide dropped 1"I have a 2003 Gulfstream Sun Voyager Model 8368 MXG 37' class A. The front slide seems to have dropped about 1" in the rear. I can tell from the accent stripes. This is with the slide closed. The slide is hydraulic with a guide bar. I just noticed this. I don't want to open it until I get some feedback. Anybody got any ideas? Thanks.Re: Heat pump or propaneWe stay in Leesburg (just south of Villages). Last year we spent 2 weeks in Daytona and a month in Leesburg. My propane was full when we left home. I Leesburg I had the propane topped off on site for $40.55 (can't remember rate) and the electric for the month we stayed was $42.60. I was using propane for hot water (I have since fixed electric hot water). Now last winter was warm, so I don't know what to expect this coming winter. I tried to be as frugal with both electric and propane as I could, but if it is cold I'm not going to freeze to save. I just wonder; if I change out the A/C unit should I go ahead and spend the extra for a heat pump too? Thanks for any more recommendations.Heat pump or propaneThe rear A/C unit on our 2003 Gulfstream Sun Voyager gave up the ghost. Here is my question. We go to Florida for four months (Jan-Apr). We have to pay our own electric (15 cents/KWh). I wonder if I would be better off getting a new A/C unit with a heat pump (which is in the bedroom area, but is ducted)or continue to use the old style propane furnace to take the chill out of the air. Anyone have experience with this? Thankssatellite systemI currently have a KVH S2 dome on my motorhome that I have never used. I intend to travel more now and found out that the Tracvision S2 system is outdated. Can anyone give me information about which satellite system is best without breaking the bank. I am thinking of using Dish pay as you go. ThanksABS data connectorI have a 2003 Gulfstream Sun Voyager on a Workhorse chassis. The ABS light came on and I stopped at a repair facility to have the code checked, but we can't find the plug to hook the scanner to. Does anybody know where it would be located? Thanks.
