"O Canada"
O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
***
My British Bride and I, along with our two Bichon Friese fur-babies entered New Brunswick from Maine at the Calais/St. Steven crossing point on August 5th. We saw the Bay of Fundy tides, spent a month on Prince Edward Island, traversed the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island, visited the lighthouse in Peggy's Cove, became re-acquainted with a couple of old friends and made many, many new ones.
Today, we will return to the States, again at the St. Steven/Calais entry point. As usual, we are loaded down with British and Canadian foods that we can't get in the States. But even more so, we are loaded down with memories of a wonderful people, a wonderful country, beautiful sights and warm welcomes wherever we happened to be.
So, my Canadian friends, both those we know and those we have yet to meet, thank you, thank you, thank you.
As we leave, I will not say goodby; rather, until we meet again.
Lonnie and Hazel
