- Camp_WilsonExplorerI have a Coleman Mach digital thermostat and was wondering if any has replaced their Coleman digital with the Honeywell RTH221B? I don't like the swing I get with the Coleman and have no way to adjust it.
- tvman44ExplorerLove my digital stat, far superior to the piece of junk that came in the 5er.
- I used a Dometic LCD thermostat. Works great but less features and more money.
It does control the hi/low fan automatically :) - SoundGuyExplorer

Perhaps too late to post but I'd highly recommend a thermostat with a backlit display that can easily be seen no matter how dim the interior lighting in the camper may be. I switched out the Hunter I had been using for just this reason for a Honeywell RTH5100B non programmable thermo that lights up nicely with a push of a button. - RedRollingRoadbExplorerHere is good how to on the change.

I used a Honeywell non-programable from a box store. Was several dollars less then I could find it online. - Jay_PatExplorerThanks everyone!

Pat - downtheroadExplorerNo down sides. You will get much more consistent temps in your rig.
Do it right and add a high - low fan switch also.
Fun project and worthwhile.
Here is the one I put in the trailer we just sold. The red button is the hi/low control...but there are many options for this. - ronfishermanModeratorHave 2 of the Hunter Thermostats in my motorhome. Front one runs front furnace and front AC. Rear runs rear AC. Work very well. Only drawback is needing new batteries every year.
- Dutch_12078Explorer IIII used Honeywell stats instead of Hunter, but there's been no regrets here either. The A/C and furnace may cycle a little more often, but the comfort level from the more stable temperature is well worth the trade off in my opinion. I used their model RTH221B 7-day programmables...
- donn0128Explorer IINot a one. One of the best under 50 dollar mods available.
