This is really something to consider especially if you are using fuel with ethanol. Ethanol begins to separate in as little as 3-4 weeks. Adding stabilizers do help some. The other consideration is the carrying and storage of gasoline.
Our tv is an suv, so we have no truck bed to store a gas can. This and the carb gumming and ethanol separation issues have convinced me to go with propane. A lot of campgrounds have propane available for sale, as well as walmart (blue rhino).
At the nascar race we went to in NH last year you could get propane delivered to your site. Not sure what the $ was, though.
