- fj12ryderExplorer IIIGotcha, I forget that some of us have dual motor legs. Makes it an easy chore.

That would work, but you'd have to run the legs back in for best effect, to get the majority of the screw exposed to the grease. If you had the ability to support the trailer after raising it far enough, that is super. I only have one jack that will reach, but I may make something to support the other side. It isn't that much work really, remove the pin and the inner leg drops right out.
You've got the right idea.
I just do one leg at a time. Run both legs down, raising the trailer, put jack on frame near leg, and raise that one leg back up. Then do the other side. - VeebyesExplorer IILots of landing leg experience here. Once understood they are simple beasts. Greasing the bevel gear is easy. Pop off the cap & work a dollop of grease in there.
If you don't already carry one, a spare bevel gear kit is well worth keeping onboard, along with a bottle jack & lumber to support the trailer if simply being on the truck is not high enough to remove the leg.
Dealing with the bevel gear replacement is much easier with the leg removed. - fj12ryderExplorer IIIThat would work, but you'd have to run the legs back in for best effect, to get the majority of the screw exposed to the grease. You've got the right idea. - Happy_ProspectoExplorerI run my legs down quite aways lifting the trailer up high, them support trailer with a hydraulic jack, remove the landing gear drop leg and get a 1/2" x 1/2" piece of angle iron, squirt a goodly amount of grease in the corner of the angle and stick it up the landing gear leg rubbing the grease on the jack screw.
- CampinfanExplorer IIIMine have two zerk fittings....one near the top and another a few inches down. They are hard to see because they are painted black like the legs
- fj12ryderExplorer IIIThose lower zerks won't grease the screws unless you pump the cavity full of grease. If you put enough grease in there some will eventually make its way to the screw. Personally I'd pull the zerk and use a spray grease on the screws when the legs are down.
Also depending on what kind of legs you have, Venture I'm assuming, you should take the gearbox apart and grease the gears in there. There is very, very little grease in that gear box. - MFLNomad IIYou should be able to remove caps on top of legs, to grease the gears. Mine has zerks about 4-6 inches lower to grease the screw drive.
