Toy Hauler and Weight with 2014 F250 Diesel Crew

Hello again,

Decided to go 5th wheel route, and to the dismay of some, with an F250 to avoid increased insurance and registration rates as they will keep on giving every year.

So that said, we love the idea of a Toy Hauler, looking for twin axle ones with around 2,000 pin weight. Now, I see a lot of these show a large amount of pin weight, but how does that work once you put something in the cargo bay? Does that lighten the load at all?

The unit my wife just loves is Keystone Carbon 327...I like it as well, everything we want, just a bit heavy. The specs are below...think real world this works safely? I hear back and forth on how similar an F250 and F350 really are.

Specs for 327
Shipping Weight 11880
Carrying Capacity 4620
Hitch 2820
Length 37' 8"
Height 13' 2"
Fresh Water 86
Waste Water 69
Gray Water 76
LPG 60
Tire Size ST235/80R16E

Now, if this unit doesnt work, what are some good suggestions that would that can handle 4 kids? What pin weight should I really look for, truck is a 10,000 GVWR, so by the sticker I have about 2400 pounds of payload (yes i know once hitch in there and family with nothing else I dont have much room)...but does weight in the back take weight off the pin? Thanks
