Let me start by saying that I have been in the CW corner almost at all times , mostly because they have always done good by me.. BUT.....Good SAMs Roadside is different...It was time to renew our Trailer insurance and road side assistance so we made a few comparison calls.. We got a few rates and decided our last call would be Good SAMs.. I have to say , what an experience , I think the guy on the other end had a date to get to or something???? Couldn't be shorter ,, and when he gave us our price , we told him they were a bit higher then we would like.... With that he said ok - have a nice day and hung up????? Really ??? Oh well... They lost.

I suppose once he appeared to be uninterested you might have just ended the call and called back to a different operator. One can never be sure why there might be bad behavior on the other end of a phone call, but why not do a recheck and be sure he got it right.

End of shift, hot date, skis are in the car, who knows. But really, it would be sad if the company as a whole were to be judged by the phone guy. Bet Good Sam would have appreciated it if you had called back, asked for a manager, and remembered the name of the previous agent. But that's all history. I think, rather than holding a grudge, I personally, would call back, get a different agent, or manager, get their best offer, and then purchase whatever seems best.JMHO

I am Out of town for business and un able to call them,, it will have to wait till next week....an almost everything is negotiable ....you just have to ask the right questions to the right people....

So did you succeed in getting a lower price?

I didn't know such things were/are negotiable.

What were you expecting as a answer from the person, He gave you a price,you said it was to high. was he supposed to talk about the weather or something,at the time you said it was to high,you could of added a question about the policy and coverage's. instead you hoped to get like magic a lower price,left dead air on the phone,and the nice young man ended it politly

Everyone does not act in the exact proper manner 100% of the time. While there was probably no excuse, I agree with others, you don't base something on a one time deal. Ever have a bad day or had a time that you weren't your best and hoped people didn't judge on that?

I beg to differ. My mother always said your known by the company you keep. They should know who they have answering calls and what kind of attitude they have. One shot is all you get from me.

I was always told two things.....most of the time you have one chance to impress ..... And first impressions are the most important.... Now with that said , I agree that a return call was warranted , and that will happen today as it was later yesterday and had a meeting to get into....
