SWIPE & save STILL not working

I have asked about stations not excepting the SWIPE & save card before and was told to use the information provided on the literature. Now it seems that station use this PR program to get you to stop and purchase gas only to find that they do not participate. On my way home from Nashville TN I stopped at a Pilot station in Cookville and tried to use the SWIPE & save card only to be told to see the cashier. So I proceeded on to Crossville Tn to Pilot station 114. This is a truck-stop and it IS listed in the SWIPE & save program. After using my credit card and the SWIPE & save card I found there was no discount. I asked the cashier why the SWIPE & save discount was not given and I was told that the SWIPE & save discount was only in the Knoxville, TN area. I asked to speak to the manager and I was told he was out of town. This has happened to me before and when I post it I get a request for my personal email address. If PILOT has an answer it should be posted HERE for all to see.
I hope people have nor renewed there GOOD SAMS if hope of using this benefit.
So if your traveling and planing on using this discount I hope you have better luck than I have.

    There are select locations that don't offer the discount. Pilot Flying J is unable to offer fuel discounts in the state of Wisconsin due to state law and at Pilot Flying J "dealer" locations (dealer locations are locations they do not own). There are only a select few "dealer" locations throughout the country. The 2014 Pilot Flying J RV Travel Guide is available online so you can see which locations offer the discount. Or, you can pick up a hard copy in a company owned Pilot Flying J location or Camping World SuperCenter.

    If there is a location listed in the Travel Guide as offering the discount, yet you are told differently at the location please contact Pilot Flying J customer service at 877-866-7378 so they can address this issue immediately.

    I'm glad to say that the Swipe & Save card is now working in Crossville, TN. Thanks for the help.

  • DC to Jacksonville Florida is about 700 miles. Getting say 15 miles to the gallon is about 46 gallons. 46 gallons at a saving of .07 gallon is about $3.22. What more would you ask for? You might of spent more at other gas stations. As you stated that you use them because of easy in and out. You could of not used the card and save the $3. I don't think people are robbing the bank with one trip.
  • I have to wonder if these programs really have much value. On my last long trip (between DC and FL), I stopped at Pilots and Flying J's exclusively, access permitting. I kept my receipts and found that I saved approximately $3. There was no notable price difference on diesel between these locations and others I saw in their general area.

    I stop at PFJs simply because I know that it's almost always an easy in and out and I don't have to worry about navigating hazards, other than stupid or oblivious drivers.

    NO! It doers not clarify it. I did use my credit card first. The gas pump then asked me to use my discount card. I did this too. But NO discount.
    I have had success using my SWIPE & save card in the Knoxville TN area. Its not that my card need to be activated.

    I was pumping the gas into my truck in the rain. I then went inside to get the problem corrected. This is when I was told that the discount only applied in the Knoxville area.

    So NO, you did not clarify anything.
