Any issues with drop down beds?
I am interested in hearing about problems or concerns with the motorized drop down beds found on some class c's. Do pillows and blankets have to be stored before raising bed. I imagine it to be a hass...

For four years my wife and I enjoyed our Safari Trek, with the bed that goes up to the ceiling during the day. It made our 30 foot class A feel like a 38 foot motor home during the day.
HOWEVER, after a few years of this we started getting tired of the process to use the bed each evening. Headroom under the bed was also a bit low if over 6 ft. Tall. More importantly, the mattress on a drop down bed is necessarily lacking in quality and thickness and we started having hip problems after spending a night sleeping on it. We eventually traded the Trek in for a motor home with a bona-ride bedroom and real Queen mattress and never looked back.
That said, for a younger couple a drop down bed may be a great choice to maximize daytime space in a motor home.
