Using my 28' rig for 12 years now on the Outer Banks surf fishing and take it to the mountains for trail riding. Very few seen on the beach and haven't seen another 28'er yet. Wanted as big a rig as I like putting my 13' fishing rods on the ceiling without having to take them apart. I've even put my 14' kayak inside along the floor. Best vehicle I've ever owned! - SweetWaterSurprExplorerNice setup. I was watching Extreme RV's on Travel Channel last night. Pretty crazy some of the rigs people are using.

- SweetWaterSurprExplorerI aired down to 20 all the way around. Really didn't think I would need to go that low but without it I was digging in. In my 4Runner 18lbs would do it easily but I realize we are talking two different animals here. We will make it out west soon enough. Have some areas to knock off the list first and going back to Vegas in the RV next time is one of them. Would love to hit Baja. Any other suggestions are welcome of course.

Any state out here in the West will give you plenty of great back-road opportunities.

Gary Haupt - CrabbypattyExplorerIve been outer beach camping for 11-12 years but in a TT not a C. I have seen a couple of c's as well as a large C that has a truck front on it. All our sand is soft and those who dont air down chew up the access roads for everyone else. It also beats up the equipment. I air down to 13 pounds in the front and 15 in the rear and 20 on the TT, and have yet to get stuck. I spoke with a TC parked on the beach and he said the weight of the TC flattens out his rears so all he does is air down his fronts. The other c I spoke to does 20 pounds all around.
I like that "fishing angle" of course I cant do that as they typically prohibit trailers but there is a lot of that here on Eastern LI. Our next TV with be a pick up and Ill be looking for a used TC to put on it.
Cool Rig! Happy trails! - SweetWaterSurprExplorerJust can't wait to find more places to actually use the 4WD
