Just curious, I have been reading about all the problems with Auto Park. Is there anyone out there that has not had any problems on a motorhome that is equipped with Auto Park?I bought the green switch for a spare to carry and checked out the fluid level but I am wondering if I am going to wind up likeRobin Williams in RV, blocking the wheels everytime I stop and get out. :E :)

olfarmer is it not the blocking that is the problem but the default LOCKING in park that is the problem as I understand it. Oldusedbear posted how to build a early warning light. Some after years just swap out the switch before it fails can picks up a spare to carry.

AutoPark applies a parking brake by applyinga band brake around the drive shaft. When that switchfails, the drive shaft is LOCKED......no can move R V.A knowledeable person can get under the RV andrelease that brake, and THEN wheel blocking when parked is required, until the system is repaired.Beentheredonethat.

Brazels RV has developed several improved Auto Park pressure switches to prevent problems with the system. They even have a air operated auto park system.

You will know when it's bad as the dash light for it goes on or flickers. There are two switches one grey and one green. Don't worry about it unless that happens.

I was just wondering if ALL auto parks fail or if some work fine for most of the life of the vehicle. I have read quite a bit about the various problems and remedies. I guess I would like to know if the failure rate is 100%--50%--25% or??????
