We enjoyed our stay in Colter Bay RV Campground in Grand Teton National Park. Full hookups in the park. Full hookups at Fishing Bridge Campground inside Yellowstone, but the spaces are very close together. Camping in the park made it worth being crowded. The KOA just outside the west entrance to Glacier National Park was the best KOA we have ever visited. Have a great trip.
We stayed in the park, just inside from the town of West Glacier and Apgar, I think. Just as the dry camping in Yellowstone, they offer the nicest sites and have seen the biggest rigs in all of them. - BiggyninerExplorer

None except on the road in from Cody near the dam. However, there is plenty of height to pass through.

- SRTExplorerApgar in Glacier Park will accommodate a 40'. But it is "primitive" with water hydrants every so often and a dump station. The rest rooms have running water. Never used them so I don't if there are showers.

If you travel to any of the campgrounds you will find folks with smaller rigs in the large spots, and the small spots unoccupied. If you reserve to small of a spot the NPS will turn you away, but yet they allow folks in smaller rigs to camp out in larger spots. The policy should work both ways.
Parks need to be clear if the 'length' is for the RV/Trailer or for the entire rig length.
I need 59 feet if I'm parking my 35 ft TT and my truck in a narrow site.
On many sites, I can park the TV alongside the TT - and do with a 40' spot.
If I'm at a park which allows a rear overhang - I can fit in a 28 foot spot if it is wide enough.
Unfortunately there isn't much consistency within a park - or even within the same campground at times. - UsualSuspectExplorerYou will find you need to make reservations when the window opens for them or you won't find any larger spots available. I wish the NPS would change their reservation policy to free up the larger spots for folks with the larger rigs. We usually avoid the busy season for this reason. We wanted to go visit Yellowstone this year but the larger spots in Fishing Bridge are taken, so we will try again next year. Our backup plan will be Grizzly in town, but we would rather stay in park with FHU as we want to stay for a week or two and dumping is a hassle when you stay that long.
- RayChezExplorerI have stayed at Fishing Bridge in YellowStone. Not sure I would want to be there now. Colter Bay at Grand Teton.
- crassterExplorer IIColter Bay would be where I'd suggest. Plenty of 40 footers there.
- wny_pat1ExplorerJust plug in your information at http://www.recreation.gov/ and it will find the proper length spot for you.
