Car caddie stop lights not working

I am towing my Prius with a Car Caddie. Coming home last week I noticed that the caddie running and tail lights were not working. Does anyone know if my 2004 Fleetwood Revolution has hitch pigtail fuses? If so, where would they be? I did a very quick search in the 12v fuses in the front driver sdie compartment but didn't see anything.
  • I have a 2004 fleetwood revolution and the fuses behind the batteries are for each line out of the connector as you probable have discovered by now. I had a bad cable after 5 years of use. Only shorted the left turn signal line but took out the fuse for that line. In my fuse block the fuse use is marked. Hope you have resolved your problem
  • DrewE ... the article I found indicated that there is only one 10 amp fuse for the harness. Maybe it protects a relay.
  • After doing some research on the internet I found that there is a Fleetwood add-on fuse box in the battery compartment for that year Revo that has a fuse for the tow harness. I'll do a quick check on this first. If no fuse is blown then I'll start doing ground checks.
  • If none of the lights are working, it's most likely a ground issue; the chances of all the fuses for all the lighting circuits blowing simultaneously are fairly slim.
  • If you have any the fuses would be in the front outside compartment under the driver's area.
Do you have amber turn signals on MH? If so there is a 3-2 converter. Many times it is located adjacent to the hitch. Check the ground on it. Some do not have ground and do not affect the taillights.
Next, Use your meter to check the MH connector. Starting with the ground.
  • enblethen,

None of the lights on the caddie are working. I was wanting to check out the fuse angle before tearing into the wiring harness. I checked the caddie wiring with a meter when I got home and it seems to be ok.
  • Your heading says brake lights but body says running and taillights not working. What is working and what is not?
It could be a bad ground if everything is not working.
Another problem area is the 3-2 adapter guessing that you have amber turn signals..
