IF the thermistor was NOT on the fins, the inside temp should have been at least 10 degrees colder. HOW are you measuring the temp? The best way is to measure the temp of a cup of water after 24 hours with a digital thermometer. Doug

Thermistor Location

Tip (bulb end) of thermistor should just protrude from top of plastic clip
Clip should be attached to farthest right hand fin mid position

For those that do not have a temp adjustment on upper panel (preset temp control)
*Moving clip UP will result in 'cooler' temp in food section compartment
*Moving clip DOWN will result in 'warmer' temp in food section compartment

NOTE: After repositioning clip...wait 24 hrs. to check temp
Movement of clip can result in 6*F-8*F change in temp

Correct. The way the OP's is installed will have the refer running full throttle cooling. Sliding up and down the fin only changes the temp 3 to 4 degrees. Doug

On our 2852 unit, the thermistor is located in the right rear top corner. We clip it to the first fin, about half way between top and bottom. If we want it colder, we slide it towards the bottom. It should stay clipped to a fin no matter what. Hope this helps. JM2¢...
