If it works on electric , the unit does not need to be replaced!

Sounds like you have -

12volts - Lights R on
Propane - You hear the burner lighting and hear it lit

Go to the back of the frig. With the propane off take a good SNIFF and determine IF you smell ammonia.

When my fridge went I didn't smell any ammonia, but I had a leak and it was in the chimney. I saw a yellowish green substance on the chimney of the fridge. All lights for the fridge worked and the propane actually lit. When I removed the fridge from the MH, boy did it stink of ammonia.

There is NO filter on the Inlet to the burner. Doug

The refer will "run" on 120 with the LP detector OFF. The refer will NOT light, IF, You have a LP detector that has the 12 volt safety solenoid and the detector is OFF. Most Class A motorhomes built in the past 10 to 15 years do NOT install a LP detector with a solenoid shut off any more. You have a 1997 according to your profile. But, as the poster stated, he can hear the flame light and IF he had a LP detector shut off system, it would not light if turned OFF. Also, YOURS and all RV refers will have an indicator that will state if it does NOT light on LP. Doug

The 1350 has rear cooling fans. IF they do not operate, the refer will not function correctly. You should hear the fans running. Is this refer in a slide room? Doug
