I also had a 2010 Newmar Baystar that I purchased new in early 2009. It had opposing "sofas" up front made by Flexsteel. These were cloth covered, not leather. Within a few months the foam had lost all support and the seat underside material was ripping through the springs. Newmar was zero help, but I called Flexsteel directly and I heard the same story...Newmar was ordering low quality foam, etc. But, they said I could bring the coach in and they would replace the foam with their high-quality foam and completely recover them no charge. I only live about 3 hours from their facility in Dubuque, IA, so I stayed in their parking lot overnight (don't recommend it...not a good part of town and I was woken in the middle of the night for a police bust with flashing lights at the other end of the parking lot). Next day they tore out and repaired both sofas and reinstalled and none of those issues ever appeared again in the 8 years I owned the coach.
As a side note, those sofas never were very comfortable...not deep enough. We eventually tore one of them out and replaced it with something nicer. When I traded the unit recently, I simply reinstalled the original and took the nice one out for home use in the den.
