Flooring, laminate or wood?

captains chairs separate from the base with 4-6 bolts. Leave the base on the floor if you don't want to crawl up in the wheel well.
I installed Maple engineered wood in my coach and glued it down. Rock solid.

cdl2, if you like carpet the best thing to do (in my opinion) is install one of the laminate or vinyl floors and then use carpet runners. When the carpet runners get dirty and worn out you throw them away and get new ones.

On the captains chairs, you'll have to either cut the flooring around them, or remove them, install the floor, and then bolt the chair back down through the floor. I'm no expert on this so before you take my advice on unbolting them from the floor, consult an expert and make sure it's okay to do that.

I removed the Captain chairs and made for nicer complete job.stairs are also easy to do with this stuff.I in the ones I have done have always put down good one side plywood before applying glue and then Vinyl.Also another thing I do once sub floor is complete is I cut out and fit many pieces before gluing.I then Number them with like 1a-1b-1c-1d-1e 1b-2b-3b-4b etc.I also number the floor space each piece will fit then Spread the glue and let tack up then install the precut pieces as per my markings.

lots of what U say I agree with but the Vinyl Iam talking about and have used is not cheapest or easiest at all to install because of the required perfect subfloor and the hand gluing system.

We used this stuff which works very well. We chose the mill run. The pieces are very strong and heavy, a bit hard to cut--needs a lot of care and patience. We had a flooring contractor to ours after we stripped the carpet out and pulled thousands of staples!

Vinyl is probably the quickest, easiest to install and cheapest flooring around. Better than carpet in many ways. 3/4" Hardwood (Bruce) is the most luxurious(IMO). Porcilan or ceramic are perfect for wet areas. Each type has its pros and cons. I'm guessing that the vinyl flooring prisim is referring to is from Harbinger Floors www.harbingerfloors.com
This would be my recommendation also it looks great and is tough as nails, water won't hurt it and having beveled edges on the 4X36 strips makes it look like the real thing. We have had it down for 2 years and love it.

No doubt about it real wood looks better than laminate. But laminate is cheaper, easier to install, and doesn't scratch or dent as easy as real wood.

well I have 1/2 laminate through out the whole basement in my house 1400sq ft.It random lenths like how hardwood comes.4 inches wide X 1/2 thick.its as close looking to hardwood as anything I have seen.
It does not have the so called "clacky plastic sound."

Mt point is there are laminates and there are laminates.There not all equal.I still personally contend the Vinyl planking when it comes to MH is the best route there is.Totally water proof,fits tight to all borders and edges,very durable,leaves planety of room for slide movment even after laying new subfloor.It looks terrific.Cons is it labour intensive job because requires new sub floor and is hand glued.
