OK, this is a general and fun question. We were at a rally a few weeks back, (we are Noobs BTW - had our 33 ft National since April) and got to chatting about upgrading. We are already looking at possibly getting a larger MH, and a few couples mentioned they had their first MH any where from 6 months to 2 years before they upgraded, and laughed at us in fun because we were already thinking about it. So the question - how many of you bought a MH, got "hooked", and upgraded fairly quickly? I'm just curious based on the previous discussions, but I do find it interesting.

Al,
Every humanoid on this planet, IS DIFFERENT! No two people think alike. So, in the RV world, there's all kinds of thought processes, ideas, life styles and more, that help with making decisions. Now, you say you're new to the RV world, correct? Well, Welcome and enjoy. Now, apparently you did at least a bit of research before you purchased the coach you presently have, correct? So, you made at least some form of an informed decision.
Well, you've used that coach, learned what you like and don't like, how things work, what you may be missing, and more. So, if there's enough of situation where you're really not all that happy with it, SELL IT! These things are rolling Kleenex boxes, and nothing more. There's nothing wrong with changing, upgrading or degrading. The sad part is, how much money does one loose when making these transactions. We all know motorhomes are not an investment.
There used to be a fella on IRV2 that would change coaches, and this is no joke, right about once a month. Pretty sure he was some sort of a dealer but, never admitted it. He would ask about this or that kind of an improvement and get a few answers. Then, about 3 weeks to a month later, he was asking for advice on this or that, on a totally different coach. He did that for almost a year.
Anyway, upgrading is no big deal. If you're not happy, then find something that will make you happy.
