How much weight can I put on bumper of 36' gas Class A?

Imagine that dip in the road, going 55 mph and how many times the weight your carrying backthere multiplies.

With that much weight on the rear I am confident it will be like the tail wagging the dog.

You may want to double check this. In every rig I have owned, passengers were part of cargo. So, CCC=2545-500=2045. The max weight of your rig is what? 22k lbs? It doesn't matter if 1 or 100 people are in it, it still can't weigh more than that. Well, okay, it can, but the chassis isn't rated for it.

I think the question is more about the 500# hitch capacity - aside from whether it will offset the front, the hitch itself could fail.

Actually putting 500 lbs on the front may be your best option. Until you load it up and go weight your rig ready to travel you will just be guessing. The short nose to front axle is better than behind the rear bumper to the rear axle for weight transfer.

Years ago I did the trig...or used a formula provided by one of the companies that makes these lifts. I am talking about hydraulic/reciever lifts.

The weight of my motorcycle (750 pounds) plus the lift (200 pounds), lifted around 3 feet would clear the rear axles max weight by just 300 pounds. However....I would lose 700 pounds from the front. No thanks.

You can buy dollies...where the motorcycle is loaded sideways and the car (toad) goes on the dolly like any other. Or...buy a trailer. Like a lawn service trailer and drill holes for the tie-downs as needed. That works well.

Or....buy a DP. That can, in most cases hold the weight of a reciever-mounted hydraulic motorcycle carrier without problems.

I've only seen ONE gasser with a hydraulic lift...and the headlights were almost looking up at the sky. I have no idea how the rear axle/suspension survived. Steering must have been really scary. (that was in the parking lot of Carlsbad Caverns)
