All slides are fragile open end boxes and if the are out of adjustment will bind and if power to the slide isn't stopped will jamb. I know you think it's bad but the coach frame is no doubt fine and the slide can be repaired and adjusted which is what they will do. You'll be mad but they aren't replacing the entire coach for this. It can be easily fixed. Thor isn't my choice , ( see my previous post) but the sell thousands of these and obviously didn't use care in adjusting many of them. Ill guarantee all of them don't have your problem .. More than they should but not all.
I'd be mindfull , as we all should to carefully watch the slide as it goes in or out ready to stop as soon as the twisting begins .. Hopefully not again for you ;-) hang in there ALL. New MH have issues .. That's why many suggest never buying a new coach .. Let someone else work out the kinks. Strap in cause you'll find more frustration in the next year if your typical.
My last RV was a Raptor toy hauler. I beat the heck out of that thing and I bet I ran the slides in and out over 1000 times in the 4 years I owned it. Not one problem with the slides. Not one. Thor owns Keystone.
If the coach wall was not properly cut to be plumb with the square box of the slide out, then I'd say there is a problem with the side wall. That has yet to be determined. But that will be one of the first things I find out. - jorbill2orExplorer IIAll slides are fragile open end boxes and if the are out of adjustment will bind and if power to the slide isn't stopped will jamb. The problem with most big slideouts is having a flat floor. Slideouts should go straight in and out..no drop. Foretravels for example, as expensive as they are, do not have flat floor slideouts..everything is elevated. Coach owners complained about stubbing their toes, thus the flat floor concept came to be along with all the problems it has.
The Thor Palazzo does not have a flat floor system. It moves on rollers and goes straight in and out. They cant get that part right. - -Gramps-ExplorerThe problem with most big slideouts is having a flat floor. Slideouts should go straight in and out..no drop. I had a major issue with my cable driven main slideout. Every trip the same cable would break. I took it to the local HR dealer at the time...they had it for four weeks and did not fix it. Next I tried two different repair facilities. Repairs were paid for by Monaco but not much luck in getting it fixed for long. Then Monaco closed up and I was on my own. I posted here and a member here (BalJohn) who works for BAL-Norco the makers of the Accuslide slideout contacted me. We made arrangements for me to take the coach to Elkhart and a friend of mine, with the same coach as mine, traveled with us. BAL techs met us at Elkhart Service and Collision where they repaired our problems. That was three and a half years ago and the fix has lasted until a few weeks ago when I had to replace a cable after repairing a slide out leak. But that is another story.
The point is...the dealer might not be able to handle this repair. You may have better success with the slideout factory techs handling this problem. I suspect they want their product to work and should offer the same level of service of BAL, the company that they compared themselves to in their video. If they can't do that then they should not be claiming that their slideout is better than the "outdated cable driven" one.
Interesting you had and are continuing to have issues with your Monaco. That just cracks me up cause I did a little Google earth tour to where the Thor factory is that specifically produces the Palazzo. Guess where it is??? In the exact same old Monaco Factory! Some things never change.
Yes, there have been issues, but that is part of owning a coach, no matter what you paid for it. I have a friend who has a 1.5 million dollar Prevost, and he said he wanted to set it on fire because he was tired of all the problems when it was brand new. He stuck it out though. Just like me...no intentions of trading because right now it all works. I do need new slide out toppers..its always sumptin!
I read you loud and clear. But when the issue causes severe structural twisting and flexing, we're in a whole different ball game here. - -Gramps-Explorer

I was going to ask if you had unlocked the slide, but it looks like this brand does not use manual locks. I feel your pain, Motorhome have a lot of moving part.
PS: was this the first time you put the slide out
Good Luck, r0n :E
I'd say this happened after about the 15th to 20th time. (Not all at one time) but over a span of about 1.5 weeks. This is from day one of ownership. It looks like these slide units have a life span of about 20 to 30 in/out movements before they die. - camper_ronExplorerI was going to ask if you had unlocked the slide, but it looks like this brand does not use manual locks. Slides have always been the weak point in many MH's. But the fault lies with the mfrs. trying to save a few $$ and using systems that are doomed to fail. Lower end Monacos use the cable systems that are problematic. Better built MH's will have hydraulic units and hopefully by HWH. Our Dynasty has 3 hydraulic slides and for some reason one electric. We did have one cylinder that leaked but otherwise so far so good. Our 05 Bounder DP uses Power Gear electric slides and they have never been serviced nor repaired! No cables. Simple rack and pinion setup. Any Lippert components on a MH or trailer are junk when they were installed.

Moisheh, we are set up the same as you with 3 hydraulic slides with the 1 electric in the bedroom. There is a plus to that set-up. Twice, the connections to the computer board that controls the hydraulic slides vibrated loose making them inoperable (including the generator slide-out). So, I was still able to get to the back closet because of that one electric slide.
For those with Dynasty's (probably several years), the computer board is in the ceiling of the first bay. You have to remove the ceiling panel to gain access. Once I found out where it was (not in the manual), I was able to tighten the connections and we were up and running again.
So, if there was a malfunction of the electric slide, you can use the hydraulic slide to get to the closet in the bedroom. Our coach is very usable with all the slides in, especially in the living area (Diamond IV floor plan).
