- 93mastercraftExplorer III have sent my contact info to Good Sam Customer Care. We'll see where this goes. My wife and I have already come to the conclusion we don't want any repairs attempted on this unit. The Sslide out has twisted and IMO has caused structural damage. The reasoning behind the Lippert Shwintek slide mechanisms is to prevent out of line slide operation. This has caused the exact opposite.
- RVUSAExplorerI feel for you. I leased an 05 holiday rambler dst, and it was one of those from the floor up it's a piece of junk rv. In the year that we had it we got to use it 6 weekends, the rest of that year it was in the shop.
- bullydogs1ExplorerI had issues with Monaco real bad, about 6 months after we purchased it they went legally belly up and I had no warranty..Fortunately, the items that went bad were supplier items and the suppliers held up their end...Thor sells on price point...sort of similar to Gulf Stream before they stopped building motor homes..All price and just blind luck...I regret your issues and they are dead serious...I'd email Marcus, (he really does respond and follow through) but also speak with manager of camping world store..and call Thor customer service...what is needed here is clean crisp communication...explain to Thor that a half wayfix is not acceptable and that if Camping WOrld lacks the materials, knowledge or personnel to fix it , that they must get it back to factory at THEIR TIME and EXPENSE, and make it right and do a full PDI of the vehicle. It took me two years to get the bugs out of my HR.
- jorbill2orExplorer IIKnow of a couple in the market who toured Thor, Newmar and Winnebago MH manufacturing and said they were shocked at the Thor plants lack of care organization etc and wondered why they even let tours in the place!
It took Thor off any list they had! Hope your problems can be fixed quickly ( all new Mh have Issues it seem Perhaps not like this though ) - 93mastercraftExplorer II

I almost traded for a Palazzo 36 with the bath and a half last May. One of the things that made me change my mind wae the slide system on the full wall. Just didn't seem like the gear system they use would hold up well. For your sake, I hope I was wrong.
No, I think you were spot on. - chuckftboyExplorerI almost traded for a Palazzo 36 with the bath and a half last May. I am sorry to read this, and there are many stories just like it from Thor owners. I came VERY close to buying a Palazzo 33.1 a year ago...so close, I had arranged for the money and only had to take the down payment to CW so they would order what I wanted. Over the weekend, I kept reading these QC problems, again and again. I changed my mind and am now shopping for another brand...a Tiffin Breeze 32BR.
George,
Your gain is my loss. If I can only convince other prospective Motor Home purchasers to heed these warnings maybe, just maybe no one else will have to go through the frustration, stress, and losses I have due to these problems I am already experiencing.I know others will say that all manufacturers have problems. But one has to admit, this is extreme. The Schwintek components they use on these large slides are just not enough. - 93mastercraftExplorer II

The thing that gets me is, I actually researched the Thor Palazzo for a long long time. I even researched how that the 2013's had serious slide out issues because of the poorly engineered and under powered lippert schwintek motors and gears. I should've heeded those warnings. But, I thought just maybe Thor would have had those issues resolved by 2014. - G_LewisExplorerI am sorry to read this, and there are many stories just like it from Thor owners.
