being a director of customer relations I agree your demands are over the top. I feel the most you will be offered is:
1. Exchange the unit out with another thor product and reimburse for payments made on this unit. 6-10 yrs warranty is not going to happen. That would have to come from thor not CW.
2. Buy back of unit and both parties walk away. CW then sells the unit as a used motorhome with no warranty.
Its up to the manufacturer to step up to the plate and resolve this issue. CW is the dealer and yes they bear some aspects because they represent the company (Thor). If option #2 is done then CW has stepped up and made things right, in what they can do. CW can not purchase you a different brand and give into your demands. Companies don't work that way. Once they give you your money back then you are free to choose what ever product you wish.
If CW did meet your demands and you received another product and you have issues with replacement, then your in the same boat with CW and the new manufacturer.
These are just my thoughts.
You are right on. He cannot expect anymore than being made whole but he must be made whole for Thor to have any credibility. - RamairExplorerbeing a director of customer relations I agree your demands are over the top. I feel the most you will be offered is:

These are just my thoughts. - peaches_creamExplorerAs each of you know, unless OP paid cash for unit, he is SOL. Camping World will park it on the back lot where it will depreciate even more while OP gets to make the payments. OP can hire a Attorney which will take more money and time. Everything continues waiting on a settlement, which can take years. Camping World and Thor's probably have deeper pockets than OP. Getting a settlement which is reasonable in OP eye's will not happen. Op has 2 options: 1. Bankrupt against lienholder if unit is financed and forget about it. 2. Take unit, get it fixed as best possible and sell it for what you can get (pay the difference owed to lienholder to protect credit). Making Camping World or Thor do anything they do not want to do is impossible. Everyone here know's MH depreciate 30% as they leave the lot. All I can say is, I'm glad it's not me.
- GoldencrazyExplorerI missed the demand for 6-10 warranty and a fleetwood product. This one is simple. I would just offer money back and be done. I wouldn't offer new coach. Headache for both. Lost use probably doesn't happen either.

I gave camping world my options I'd like to see happen that would make us happy. One, another Palazzo factory direct with all the kinks worked out with a 6 to 10 year warranty and payment for time without unit thus far. (to be determined) but we are going on 2-3 months payments at this point. Two, find us another manufacturer. We already suggested a Fleetwood Excursion 33D optioned out exactly like the Palazzo. This unit is very comparable in price to a Palazzo. Maybe a little more. But with the issues we have been through already, the difference in the price would make us happy and with another manufacturer I will not expect compensation for all the troubles we have been through. I feel like these options are very reasonable.
The biggest difference between a Thor and a Fleetwood is, Fleetwood does not use the Schwintek motors and gears.
Quite honestly, your demands are too much. Payment for lost use, yes. 6-10 year warranty, not going to happen. If CW is a Fleetwood dealer, then maybe, if not, that also is not going to happen.
Shame on Thor. An online, grass roots campaign against Thor may be in order. - bullydogs1ExplorerThis is at the right place as far as CW is concerned..As far as Thor is concerned, well, I won't chime in there..CW has made a great deal of money from Thor sales, CW needs to buy back this unit and give credit to another make if necessary and do right by the customer..As far as what happens to the old one, I'd use it as a teaching unit for techs...if it is bought back by CW, the title becomes suffixed as a buyback in some states..Take it to auction and be done with it...New unit to customer would make customer happy, give a lot of good to CW from this thread and may even sell them another 2 or 3 units...a good gamble on CW part..CW would come out well, the OP would come out well, Thor would be the villain here .....I know now that no matter what the price, Thor is off my list. IF CWs sells another 3 units out of this thread, it is worth it to them. Marcus was not born yesterday, he mans up when a mistake is made.

Being "higher up on the food chain" for many years, IMHO, what you're asking for is a no deal. "Good Will" can only be pushed so far and your demands are too far over the top.
I know when you buy a new product, expectations are great. Your "issue" is with the mfg not the seller. I don't see Thor buying you a Fleetwood product, and no mfg is going to give out a 10 yr warranty...any "deal" will contain a finality clause.
Just my 2 cents, but based on my experience working in management for a company much much larger than Thor.....Dennis
x2, I was feeling for the op, but after seeing his demands, not so much anymore. Sorry. - Executive45Explorer III

We will see...it sure would be nice to see both sides to the story. Hopefully the OP will be satisfied. With 12 pages of posts, I would hope CW would post a "press release" type of statement when it's all over....Dennis
It sounds like a real lemon. I am not sure he should take anything other than what he purchased unless they offer something else and discount it to make accepting the deal attractive. You buy a new coach so there are no mysteries. Everything is new and presumably works like new. "Works like new" should not mean untested and flawed requiring immediate repair. Hard to believe there is another side to the story. The problems are pretty straight forward. Things either worked or didn't. I had a brand new Jeep that had a timing sensor fall out. Jeep paid for rental for us to get home as we were returning from a vacation and arranged to have the Jeep delivered 8 hrs of traveling when repaired and gave me a coupon worth 1,000 bucks off on my next Jeep after I negotiated my best price. That is service. What seems to be going on with the seller and manufacturer crosses both off my list for future purchases. I hope the OP can find something that meets his needs and is good quality and please folks don't tell me this is what you get when you buy low end. The price is way to high to have things not work. Low end should mean formica and not marble, not slides don't work.
