- 93mastercraftExplorer IIet2,
I am reading what y'all are saying. Getting a lawyer is not as easy as you guys think. I have taken your advice. At this point I am just replying to comments in this tread. I think I have just as much a right to post as anyone else does. This tread will go dead when A. It get's removed. B. I get a lawyer. C. When Thor makes it right. If Thor makes this right. Which I really feel like they can. I will be the first to post something good that could come from all this mess. - et2Explorer

No, no the coach is not ready to be picked up. Please don't misunderstand me. Here are a list of items that still need to be fixed...
1. Squeaky Floor
2. Rear slide out does not properly close at the bottom (gap large enough to stick your hand in)
3. Torn fabric on a coach cushion.
4. Misaligned cabinet doors and drawers.
5. Torn Weather strip for large slide out where Shcwintek gears chewed the weather strip.
6. Missing remote control for in dash stereo/camera
7. Entire slide out was warped and twisted when the Schwintek failure occurred. Thor is ignoring this all together. That's why I am asking for an extended warranty when it falls apart in a couple years.
I have not retained an attorney because I will represent myself until I feel like all other options have been exhausted. If I retain an attorney I will lose all ability to communicate with CW and/or Thor. So, to that end I have not reached the end of my rope as far as the legalities go. Yes, I have reached the end of the rope as far as the problems with this Palazzo go.
I might take to youtube. At least I can demonstrate in video all the problems. Apparently that worked for this other dude that had all the same issues. Thor offered him a new coach. The kicker was, we didn't even take it.
Been reading this post all along and feel your pain. However I think some might becoming tired of offering you excellent advise you choose to ignore. It's now more of a post for you to beat on Thor & CW ( not that they don't deserve it) as opposed to actually taking some good advice from others here.
In my opinion two things - lawyer - quit posting. Your not helping your effort anymore. - 93mastercraftExplorer IINo, no the coach is not ready to be picked up. Please don't misunderstand me. Here are a list of items that still need to be fixed...

Replacement needs to be a different brand as OP will NEVER be happy with another Thor.
I do not see the extended warranty demand working.
We have good friends new MH shopping and we have already told them to avoid anything made by Thor. Jury is still out on Camping World.
edit: Camping World refunded the buyers of a problem 2014 Winnebago Tour so CW should step up in this case also.

OP, I have resisted the urge to post on this thread, I certainly understand your anger, but you have gotten some good advice over the last couple of pages. Thor has the responsibility under the warranty to repair whatever is wrong. According to your post, you have been advised the RV is repaired and ready for pickup. You refused to take it, because you want a new one. You badly need legal advice. As a retired Judge, I can tell you that based on the things you have demanded in your posts, you are going to come across as unreasonable and any case you might have against CW or Thor is going to be harmed, a lot! If you default on your loan, your credit is going to take a major hit, as others have said: the lender will repossess the unit, sell it at auction for pennies on the dollar and sue you for the difference between what it bringss and the amount due. If it were me, I would go inspect the unit, if everything is repaired, take delivery, and see if it is satifactory for your use. If so, live with it, if not, sell it and speak to an attorney about whether suing Thor for any loss is worthwhile.
X2, what the law cares about is the law. Not anger or emotion. I agree with the OP. I also would be angry and frustrated. But in my opinion from what I know. In a court of law. That does not count. The only thing that does count is what the contract says. "bad faith" would be another matter of course
Which is why divorce attorneys will never go broke. People fight to the bitter end, becuase they are mad at each other. And pretty much end up where they started from. But the attorneys do well. - 2bzy2cExplorer IIWell said ^

- Mike_M2Explorer.
- Mike_M2ExplorerDefaulting would mean that the company giving you the loan would take the MH and resell it, not your local CW dealer. They will sell it for whatever they can get, then sue you for the balance you paid. This means you are still gonna pay for it so DON'T default.
I know someone that had a similar issue with Ford many years back. They bought a new car and a week later the motor had major issues. The dealer wanted to fix it and the owner wnated a new motor. After a few weeks of getting nowhere, the owner made arrangements with a gas station accross the street to park it there. He completely covered the car with yellow cutout lemons made of contruction paper, made a bunch of signs stating the problem and there it sat for 2 days for everybody to see. On the 3rd day the car was back in the shop getting a new motor.... - nohurryExplorerOP, You're mad. That's understandable, but it's causing you to not think straight, and might cause you to do something you'll regret later. Bottom line; Thor has a legal responsibility per the prescribed warranty to make that coach 100% right. Sadly yes, you have to make the payments until that happens, but that's what everyone else does that has warranty work done. Might be only a day or two for some, but that's what we do. Have an attorney write a letter if you must to tell them what they already know which is again, that they have to repair everything that is wrong, and you won't accept it until then. Believe me they, or CW, or your bank don't want the coach back. They want you to have it, even if you sell, or trade it in when you do get it back, and again, YOU WILL GET IT BACK. You signed up for 20 YEARS of payments, so make a few while you wait. Ya, it sucks, but you "won the lottery" and are one of the "unfortunate" few that are having a major problem, and we truly feel for you, but you've got to just hang in there, make Thor fix the d*mn thing! and then go from there. So there, after following this whole thread that's my .02. Good luck.
