I agree with Downtheroad! Now you will find out about the mistake! "Customer Service" Will they step up and, listen to you this time and, repair it correctly! Keep us posted! Good Luck, Rooster
No...you were not an 'idiot' for buying it. The IDIOTS were the guys who built it.
Gosh, who needs that kind of grief. Good luck with it all. - diveman52ExplorerThor has to be one of the worst manufactures there is.
They try to make there rigs look cool but there materials and labor are so poor the customer pays dearly later on. - GoldencrazyExplorerHey, no sweat. It may look bad that your wall is twisted and stuck. A couple of hydraulic jacks, a small bobcat with forks, a pneumatic wrench and other basic tools and you will be fixed in no time. Oh yes and a tube of grease, some gorilla duck tape and a couple cans of spray paint. Good luck. You will be back on the road soon and oh no sharp right turns.

The RV industry does not care about the consumer or quality. They just keep pushing this junk out the door and we keep buying them with the hope that they'll do a good job.
Someday, a smart foreign manufacturer will figure out how to build them correctly and ship them to the U.S. for a profit. When that happens, the RV industry will either have to shape up or go out of business. I'm not saying all of them are junk, but I've yet to buy a TT of FW that didn't need extensive warranty work right out of the showroom.
I agree with you. I find it amazing just how bad the quality control is on every unit I have purchased to INCLUDE the so Called HIGH END Mobile Suite we purchased. Screws put in at angles, air lines leaking from the trail air system etc. I am a quality manager for the Navy and if we put out junk like this, I would be spending too many hours writing up quality deficiency reports. The RV manufacturer's are about quantity, not quality and it is a real shame. - charlesExplorerI would not waste any time getting a lawyer. If they don't care what leaves the factory, they are not going to care about the customers that bought these. I would be afraid that you won't get that back for months. Try to get your money back and buy something that has a good history like Winnebago, not that they are all perfect but they have been around for a long time.
I feel for you buddy,
Nick - supercubExplorerI sympathize with your frustration. Buying anything new and having problems is the pitts.but when you spend a large amount of dollars for a motorhome, and have problems, well, that really is frustrating.....however, with that said, perhaps the fix might not be that bad. Perhaps, the slide has just come off a track or a track was not secured properly..might be a somewhat simple fix. Hopefully it won't be a big issue and then will have it back to you soon so you can start enjoying it.

Might be OK on a small slide but they are nothing but problems
Rear motor, motor drive, drive rail or controller has failed on yours
Wasn't Schwintek founded by the guys from Wayne's World?
Sorry, I couldn't resist!
Maybe CW would take your rig back and give you credit toward another of a different make, I would always feel that it would happen again after the warranty expired.... - I know you are upset. The problem can be fixed. LCI (scwintek) sells about 8000 slide systems a month. I personally do not like the Scwintek system, but if installed correctly will operate just fine. There are a set of rollers in the main floor the room glides on. The Scwintek system just pushes the room out and then pulls it in. If the cutout is not square or the room is not square, there will be problems. From your pic, the Scwintek rail system (front and rear/they only sell both sides) will have to be replaced as the upper track and lower track are not in synch. That is the reason it is tilted and the floor is torn and gouged. They will extend the room and verify roller operation and replace the linoleum and the wood stiles that are damaged and the complete Scwintek slide system. MOST Scwintek problem are not caused by Scwintek, but the install at the OEM plant. There is NO 30 day period for buyer to return a Motorized or towable RV. Once you drive it off the lot, you own it. IF they fail to fix the problem under warranty in a timely manner, then you do have certain rights, depending on the State you live in. You may not want it, but it IS yours. The OEM will get it fixed. Doug
