If you were a Snowbird, where would you stay?

Somewhere in the SW USA.

Its hot enough and cold enough in the SW for me and the food is delicious ( not that blistering hot TexMex....I mean REAL "mexican" food)

I'm thinking it may be Yuma for my first year. I know some people who winter there and they rave about it. It'll be nice to have some friendly faces nearby. I've looked at El Centro, CA as well - looks like a nice place.

I have spent the winters in Florida and also in the San Diego area. I also have a home in Florida and the high desert of California. Florida for me is too humid and it does not agree with me. But I agree with J Rooster that the Lake Havasu area next to the Colorado river is a nice place to spend the winters. I also like the San Diego, El Cajon area but much more traffic.

I rent my stick house in the east coast so we stay at Penny Thompson RV park close to the entrance to the keys. Not a bad rv park.

Nui, Goodbye Tension, Hello Pension! If you ever get to Western Arizona (Western Arizona is lowest in elevation in Arizona, from 900' above sea level in Bullhead City, AZ. (North) to 452' in Lake Havasu City, (Central) to 200' above sea level in Yuma, (South) check out the Beachcomber RV Resort! It's a gated community, right on the Lake (out on the Island) it's affordable $500.00 a month, has a huge pool which is billed the warmest swimming pool in Lake Havasu City, large heated spa, very large rec room, pool table room (also has hockey game, card tables, and Free WiFi hook ups and numerous activities everyday (golf, hiking, sewing, cards, line dancing, exercising in the pool, horseshoes ect. to name a few). There's more RVers there from Canada then anywhere else (Minnesota is 2nd) Your welcome to come and take your drive thru tour. The Beachcomber is a former Army Air Corps R&R Site. Enjoy the fruits of your labor wherever you decide to go.

I have done both AZ, Yuma, and Florida below Orlando, and the Florida weather is IMHO better than AZ. In AZ we sometimes had high winds and dust storms for long periods of times, like a week straight. We prefer southern Florida.

I've done CA, AZ and FL. Key West is the place.

Our favorite is Mission Bay, San Diego. On the water and mild temps.

Gotta go with the majority: Florida or Mexico if you are looking for really warm. We chose AZ because we come from OR and love the west. But it does get cold at night and no 90's during the day in the winter. It's still mild and wonderful.

I have wintered three years in Arizona, Yuma, Casa Grande and Apache Junction. Desert gets cold an night. Afternoons are warm most of the time. Spent two winters in Florida, Zephyrhills and Panama City Beach. I prefer Florida to the desert. Much warmer and it is nice to see some green rather than the desert brown. Spent one winter in south Texas, Mustang Island, South Padre Island. Not one of my best choices. Lots of wind and far from being warm in December and January.

Hey there stranger!

I missed seeing you when we shot through SD last summer. My brother wasn't doing so well in the high altitude, so we just drove by Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse and headed for the badlands. The lower down we got, the easier his breathing was, so we didn't linger.

I'll be in central Canada for 4 months - love the summers in Ontario and then I'll be heading south. You just never know where I'll end up :-)
