Hi all,
I've just joined Good Sam Club. I was the former Transmission Fluids Engineer at Allison Transmission. I held that position from 1990 until my retirement in 2009. Let me know if you have questions about TranSynd, the TES-295 specification or just anything to do with automatic transmission fluids. I'm here to help.
My Genesis has an MT643 trans behind a DT466 engine...Dexron III, right? - wny_pat1Explorer

With Transynd, your transmission will run cooler, not be affected by seasonal temperature changes, and last much longer that it will with the Dextron! Plus you will not have to change the fluid anywhere near as often when running Transynd. With Transynd, you can probably go years between changes provided you change the filters at the recommended interval and have the Transynd analyzed at the same time. The analysis will tell you if the Transynd has any contaminates in it.
Have a 2000 DSDP with an Alison MD 3060 trans. Been reading the forum re. Transyd. Called Allison and spoke to a Tech. Told him with the high cost of fuel I will only be driving a few thousand miles a year. Do I really need to change to Transyd. He said that the Dextron III was ok to use. I changed the fluid and used the high cap. filters. Found Valvoline Dex III at Napa. Bob S. - bobschultzExplorerHave a 2000 DSDP with an Alison MD 3060 trans. Been reading the forum re. Transyd. - hottubkidExplorerFrom what I have just read the filter should be changed at the first fiveK which I did but then it is 50K for the next time unless it is the atificial trans fluid. This that is what everyone agrees with
- Glenn_CooperExplorerTom, thank you for ALL your help!
Now I have a Allison 1000, in my 02 Winnie purchased new by me.
And I changed the fluid twice within the first 5/6 K miles,
fluid and filter. Then about 5 yrs ago I changed the spin on
filter, just because I had it and NEW fluid.
Do you recommedn I change all the fluid twice again?
I have 45 K on the MH at this time. Thanks for your input! coop - frankfishExplorerFWIW, until retiring in 2008, I spent most of my career as a mechanic/service manager/shop owner. My take on fluid changes is simple. Fluids are the lifeblood of engines and transmissions. They are responsible for lubrication and heat removal. They break down and get contaminated over time, which makes them less able to do their job.
How much do you pay each year for insurance on your MH? Probably more than the cost of changing all your vital fluids. My bottom line = regular fluid changes are the best and cheapest insurance that you can buy. - hottubkidExplorerThanks I'm at 48000 and from what i have recieved I will need to change filter and fluid at 50000. Coach is getting tires but hope it is markes as to which fluid is in it or on the paperwork in the coach. I know it is a 1000 but have no idea which fluid is in it and am learning which to buy for it. thanks for the help

I just purchased an 05 Fleetwood Revolution LE Cat 400hp and Allison Transmission. It only has 9200 miles on it. I have no idea what has been done to it as far as mainteance. Any recommendations on what kind of servicing I should have done? Thanks

Supercub,
Is your name from flying a supercub? I have a pilots license but only fly the Microsoft Flight Simulator now .... too old; don't trust myself with ATC. I could still handle flying but the ATC rules might get to me.
Since you don't have history on the fluid, I'd recommend a fluid analysis to determine the condition and let me see the results. I'll give you my recommendation based on the results. Or, you can just do a refill with TranSynd, drive it around for 30 minutes, drain again install new "high capacity" filters and then refill again with TranSynd. Then you're good until the next filter change.
