My new to me 2011 Jayco 31SS has no spare tire?

I bought a spare tire and wheel and mounted it on the back of the TT. AFAIK, most do not come with a spare tire.

Its optional on most. Most dealers probably don't order it because most shoppers wouldn't think of that while shipping.

Roadside assistance will rarely bring a spare to you, unless they are affiliated with a tire dealer. Most likely you would be out of luck in the middle of nowhere. At the vary least, carry an un-mounted tire because more roadside assistance companies can mount a tire in the field. Most commercial truckers do this so they don't have to lug a rim around. But this still leaves you in a situation where you would have to call for a truck, which may not always be an option.

Lazy Daze MH come with a spare! We had a blow out on our 2007, 3lft.

Ours came without a spare as well. I am looking at buying one and mounting it on the back or underneath. We have GSERS Platinum +, but from what I have been reading, if you an inflated spare, then there is no additional cost. If you have an uninflated spare that needs to be mounted, then you are looking at about $163 to do so. If you don't have a spare and they get one for you, so one said they were quoted $400 for a TT tire and then the $163 to mount it. I think it would be wise for me to go ahead and spend a few hundred bucks and get one w/wheel and have it just in case.

I'm also going to buy a tire and a wheel, I think for now I'll just carry it in the rear storage compartment and strap it down.

Does anybody know where I can buy a wheel for a reasonable price?

We carry two mounted spares for our TT. One in the back of the TT on a rack and the other in the Suburban. And, of course, since we switched to Michelin XPS Ribs several years ago have not had a flat tire. Prior to that we had about one per year.

I think it might depend on whether you have 19 " or 22" rims. all of my MHs with 19 inch rims came with one.

Nope. I was surprised to find my Jayco had no spare either. Since I like to travel in remote spots, I bought and carry a spare and wheel. I plan to mount it underneath...one of these days...
