Not sure I can enlighten anyone I am no expert at anything! I just do not see the endless negative post getting anyone anywhere. I feel the OP has actually hurt his own chance of solving his problems. There comes a time when you quit talking to your friends about you problems and go seek real help (compare a corner Bar to a Hospital Operating room). That is my only point. Add to that, I have a THOR Products for a long time and have been very happy with them and the service form factory and dealers. But maybe I am the exception so rant on..........sooner or later we will find out who is right!
I just think the time could be bettere spent!
I don't think you know the whole back story on this one and speak from ignorance which is understandable since the original massive thread is not referenced.
That's great that your Thor products have had their defects fixed to your satisfaction in the past. If you have a few hours, read this guy's monster thread titled "I was an idiot for buying a Thor Palazzo or something like that". The Schwintek slide system was a complete disaster as it was first implemented and Thor constantly just want's to keep putting band aids on until the owner is out of warranty.
They claim to have re-engineered it but the point wasn't so much the 3rd party system as it was Thor's customer service or lack thereof. Their response to the problem and loyal owners has been beyond disappointing. I got the feel for their "Quality" at an RV show, now I have a pretty good feel for their corporate customer service culture.
Also, ironically, the reason he has so many negative comments is because he has had so many negative experiences. It is very easy to just label someone as a complainer and the squeaky wheel but imagine if it had all happened to you? - lunch_surferExplorerSale or trade even for a lose. I see no way that the OP could be happy in the coach after such an ordeal. Now that there has been so much negative public information who would try to get the unit even at a reduced price and repair it and make it right. It may take 5 years from now but some dealer or person will eventually make it right, its all a matter of time and money.

Good to all who think this public forum is the place for this!
So give us your opinion on what they should be. - lunch_surferExplorerNot sure I can enlighten anyone I am no expert at anything! I just do not see the endless negative post getting anyone anywhere. Of course it is the place for things like this. Who on earth would not like to know how a customer is treated by a company after the sale; good and bad?
This guy has been through hell with his first Palazzo and they sent him out another turd to replace it. If not for his airing his fight here and Camping World taking his side, he would not have even gotten the shiny new turd to replace the old $150.000.00 turd. What is left for the guy to do except be very vocal and honest about the experience to hopefully save even just one person from the same potential fate?
Or perhaps this is forum is only for threads about tag axles and whether you use your washer/dryer or not? - EffyExplorer II

So, please enlighten us as to what forums are for? Apparently not for sharing issues, concerns and experiences? is the OP not to share their experience on their RV because it's negative? I certainly feel there is something to be gained from it. Whether or not it solves OP's issue is neither here nor there but this sharing of information amongst fellow RV'ers is critical in my opinion. When you don't have the benefit of a real RV review avenue this type of information is important. Maybe I don't share the same censorship policing ideology as you. But I struggle to see how this is the wrong place. Maybe he should keeps his opinion and experience to himself and sweep this under the rug like a good boy so we can never know how to avoid this ourselves. - lunch_surferExplorerGood to all who think this public forum is the place for this!

When will this conversation end?
Likely only when Thor meets its responsibilities and stops shipping substandard products. - lunch_surferExplorerWhen will this conversation end?
- EffyExplorer III would agree that Thor definitely missed an opportunity here and instead sort of shot themselves in the foot on this deal. They could have put a positive spin on this whole deal and given you the best Palazzo to roll off the line. Since hey were giving you a new one anyway, they should have leveraged this fiasco to say "We fixed our mistake and made our customer happy". But no. Chose the standard Wal-Mart methodology that quantity over quality is the objective. This was the golden opportunity to shine and use this spotlight to make it right. Instead they have shown that they just don't care and that will hurt them more. Maybe it won't. Still not only selling plenty of RV's but Palazzo's to boot. I used to be a staunch supporter, but after seeing what they have done - or not done and how they have treated these customers (some of which are friends) who have spent their hard earned money and only want the product they paid for, only to be literally snubbed with a "too bad" attitude, I am re thinking my position. Again, I have had only a positive experience with them and I am sure many have. But I don't have any real problems to put that support to the test. I doubt I would buy a Thor again. I used to have a different opinion.
