It pumps the hot side of all faucets, but absolutely zero cold water.I noticed it first after the installation when I tried to put water in the toilet bowl. Nothing! Same problem whether we're hooked to campground water OR to our potable tank. Your help will be appreciated ASAP. Thanks. Jim

It sounds like you have a problem with the position of your hot water heater bypass valves. Is this RV new to you?What brand would really help.Fred.

'07 Phaeton. We can get cold water out of the spray in the water compartment (basement).

Unless you made major changes to the plumbing that is flat impossible, since the pump only pumps COLD water.. It flows to several "T" fittins, one of which taps off to the water heater where it becomes HOT water.. The line (Past that "T") has to either have a valve closed (And no such valve should exist) be pinched or.. here is a check valve and again in a place where no such valve should exist.SOME water heaters do have a check valve on the inlet however.

Hi,My guess now is that you have a factory installed hot water heater bypass system. Since your pump is putting out cold water to the outside shower, and hopefully both of those valves are off, (sometimes people leave the valves on yet have water shut off at the shower head and do let cold water into the hot lines) your pump is pumping cold water out to the main line and perhaps factory installed water filter (located in the basement compartment of most high end DP's). From there, I am guessing that you have a water heater bypass, and it should be set to not bypass. Look for valves or instructions on how to operate those valves in the pump compartment, or near by.
