How long have had you had your motorhome in the shop for?I brought my rig in on July 13th for some brake work and a new alternator.It took them 3 weeks to even look at it. Another 8 weeks later, they conceded that they couldn't locate new calipers. It took me 5 minutes of web searching. I gave them the parts and now they are still dragging their feet. They are the only game in town, otherwise I'd go anywhere else.I'd do it myself, but I don't have the heavy equipment for it.

We took ours in to have the heater fixed, and we took it in on October 4th. We got it back on the 21st.that's too long.

We took our C in for some pretty severe body damage after DH hit a deer on the right front fender. They had it from October until February. In fairness, though, we were just as happy for them to have in inside much of that time, and for when it was outside, they winterized it free. And it wasn't exactly during the busiest RVing season.Recently our A was in for a new roof and a few other incidental things, and they got it on Monday and finished up on Friday but kept it another day because they wanted it to dry more and it was raining. In that case, we kept on top of them because we were living in a hotel at $150/day (pet-friendly and with a full kitchen, which we used to save costs). They were pretty efficient because we reminded them daily about the cost of the hotel.

It's time to find another place to do your repairs. When they told you they couldn't find the calipers, that should have been a major red flag.It sounds like they don't want to do your work.I would be moving on.

I find multiple truck repair places within 30 miles of your town. GO TO A TRUCK REPAIR Place not an RV dealer.I leave mine at my truck repair place with a list of items needed. We agree on a pickup date and on that day it has been done. Never longer than one week and that is because I come in without prior appointment and a not in a hurry to get it back.

Judging from post on this site, 12 to 15 months is the normal wait time. :?

There is nothing special about your coach.....Load it up and take it to the nearest LARGE truck repair facility

It dont at my local shop. I can even include the parts and its 5-10 days before they look at it.

Tell them you are not in a hurry to get it back and they will have it ready the next day.

Never had to wait, use only heavy truck and bus shops for servicing air dryer, Allison fluid and filters, coolant change etc.

Make the appointment, arrive early and leave same day.

Exception is Speedco for LOF preventive maintenance on the MH and the genny, no appointment needed and in and out in 1 hour.

Many will not make appointments. You have to bring it in and have it sit there idle until they get time to even look at it.

A few years ago, I took mine in for a few minor issues. Called and they set up an appointment. I called the night before to make sure everything was still a go. Went to the office and they filled out all the paper work, came out and did a walk around..........took the keys, and said, they'd give me a call in a couple weeks, when they hoped to get to it. When I mentioned I had an appointment, they said yes, an appointment to drop it off. When I questioned them, they said that's the way they schedule, they're always at least 2 weeks out. When I again questioned them, they said that's the way they have been doing it for years.
Even though they're suppose to be a very good shop, I'm never been back.

It is at a Bergys Truck Repair. They have a large facility with about 20 bays. It just bothers me that such a big place can be so slow and unresponsive. They are the biggest around and seem to be unconcerned about my business. As it stands, they've removed one of my calipers a month or two ago, so I couldn't drive it elsewhere even if I wanted to. Maybe a mobile mechanic could save the day.

I bent the frame on my 5th wheel toyhauler about 5 years ago. It happened while trying to get it un-stuck from the sand at the dunes. Started hopping really bad and bent the frame. Got back, called insurance company and it took the repair shop almost 4 months to repair it. Not because that's how long the repair took, but they kept dragging their feet also. I would stop by there now and again during the process un-announced and low and behold...no work being done to my trailer.
