replacing dash radio in an 05 Newmar W24

I am in the process of trying to figure out how to change out the old Jenson unit for a Pioneer 2 din unit. the new unit is 4 inches thick while the old unit was 3 5/8 inches so i must need a new sleeve to slide the new unit into. Has anyone done this with success as i am having trouble getting info. I know a specific car model would be easy but a motor home has no references. at the moment i am tuneless

    Siggy

Ditto on mine, however the factory unit was a 1.5 DIN, so I had to cut the dash slightly, but nothing too difficult.
  • Go to the mfg and see if they have any matching plastic fitter kits. Sometimes they have spacers available.

Virtually any double-DIN radio should work out without any great difficulty if you already have a double-DIN unit. I think they generally come with the mounting sleeve they slide into.
  • Crutchfield.com should have a section on RVs. If they don't a call to their excellent online help might be useful.
