- joloooteExplorer2006 34' Class'A' liked 67 mph.
- happy-2ExplorerI to have a 2006 37c with a v-10,i find that if i use the cruse control i get best mileage at 65, the tow haul is the best thing going,
- Sfla2ExplorerIf you get a scan gauge it has a command called lod which is the load % of eng you are using this is from manual
This is a percentage of the maximum power available currently
being generated. In some vehicles it is the maximum
available at the present RPM. it really helps as i stay just under 60% which is my sweet spot, any highr can see MPG fall - carringbExplorer

Oh we have 6 gears, where's the other one, I can only find 5
"4th" gear is actually two different ratios, that are not not used sequentially. So yes, the TorqueShift is actually a a 6-speed even though it only uses 5 at a time. - doxiemom11Explorer IIWe drive our V10 at 55-59 mph and average over 9 mpg. Slower is more fuel efficient. No problem driving 65 if you want to though.

In addition to what Mark said your best MPG will be in 6th gear at the lowest RPM that will keep you in 6th gear without constantly downshifting. I am old so I use a vacuum gauge to accomplish this, I'm sure there are computer systems that can do the same thing.

- 427435ExplorerThe slower you go, the better the mpg. The V10, in my experience, doesn't have a sweet spot--------------or it has a wide range of them.
I normally set the CC at 62 mph on 4 lane highways and 55 on 2 lane roads. - dodge_guyExplorer IIYou will not have an issue keeping it at 65mph. I run mine at about 67 and with the tuner from 5star it can stay in O/D. I avg. 7.5-8.0 mpg. climbing a mountain it will run up to 4300rpm!!! it will have no issue running at that rpm.
- RedJeepExplorerThis has been helpful. With my current truck/trailer I tried to stay about 57 mph. But, I'm hearing I can drive a bit faster without any significant mpg detriment with my new motorhome.
