The table in the MH is looking bad. The flimsy plastic that was applied at the factory is peeling off around the edges. Anyone had this problem? How did you re-cover the table? Thanks!
You can use contact cement to repair it. Although as I understand it manufacturers have to use water based cement but individuals don't. I use solvent based and it seems to hold much much better. I haven't tried to buy quart cans so don't know if larger amounts are available but tubes are.
Post a picture so we can see what you have. Tabletops are one of the easier things to do, but there are a lot of options, from very cheap to very expensive.
You can have a new table top made, we did. Our wood table top got ruined so we went to a place that made corian countertops and they made a new table top for us. They often have left over pieces for a lot less money. I really like it much more than the old wood one.
If you have an RV salvage shop that deals in left over parts you can find different kinds of table tops there. Good luck.
Lorraine: not sure. It is a very thin plastic like material that probably was put on with contact cement and heat? It fits tight with no wrinkles on the curves. It is just the edges going bad...for now. The table has curves on the aisle side and the edges are curved to the table top.
