It's really a no brainer. Do what your manual says. Frames & MH's are different. What's correct for one doesn't mean it's correct for you. Why guess or do something based on opinion of others who know nothing about your RV.
As far as the dealers having the slides out - if you noticed they're not leveled most the time either, so the frames don't get tweaked. If you don't choose to level either that's up to you.
The longer the coach, the easier it is to tweak or twist that whole body. I have seen two coaches that the frames tweaked so much that the windshields broke. One was an American Dream about 42'long and that was in Indiana. Then I also saw a National at Thousand Trails South Carolina Bay Landing. When it made the turn to go up a steep incline coming into the park, it put a twist on the whole frame of the forty foot coach to where something broke on the front end cap and it broke the windshield and half of the seal of the windshield had shifted about an inch. One side up and one side down.
It is a no brainer if you can not figure out that coach frames will tweak and cause lots of damage at times. I just can not figure why Monaco has their instructions the way they do, because their frame configuration is really not built as strong as Spartan and Frightliner chassis. Which have been used for years on heavy equipment versus the RoadMaster which is built of lighter materials to the motorhomes.
But you do have to do as the manual instructs you to do, even if it is wrong because of warranty issues if something does break down. I just can not figure Monaco engineering.
