- janstey58ExplorerWe bought one of the new air fryers that fry foods with very little oil. It makes the best french fries we have ever had, and no grease to save or clean up!
- paulcardozaExplorerDepends on the situation.......
What did I cook in the oil and how long before I cook again?
Meat or fish - Strain and keep for a day or two max.
Potatoes - Strain and keep for a week.
Onion Rings - Keep for a week only if I'm going to make more onion rings! - magnusfideExplorer II

Campground smells like you are driving past an In & Out Burger. LOL!
I wonder if that would attract bears? - Super_DaveExplorer

Once or twice a year use for the deep fryer doesn't seem to be worth saving the oil for in our case. I refuse to buy expensive peanut oil so a gallon of vegetable oil is just part of the cost of the meal.
Same here. That and the finding that after 2 or 3 cooking sessions, there's a higher level of carcinogens in the oil has me tossing it at the local gas station.
Smoked food is tastier and healthier besides. :W - SWMOExplorerYes, but how long depends on the usage. I don't keep it long after fish, if at all. Chicken is a 2 time meat for me unless it's skinless white meat.
I use a canning funnel and coffee filters to clear the oil of debris and I store it in glass jars. It's the breading, etc that spoils it because if it isn't removed the it burns on the second go around. If you fry something like skinned chicken or pork you add some meat fat to the mix and it doesn't last as long. - Sandia_ManExplorer IIYes we do, at home and even when camping.
