- MandKJohnsExplorerI don't have an oven in my TT but I do use them at my sticks and bricks. I love them. They roll up out of the way and they bake evenly and just as well as a traditional baking pan. I don't see any reason as to why they would not work just as well in an RV.
- pasusanExplorer^^ Thanks for the response - just what I was hoping to hear!
- bob213Explorercupcakes baked side by side in a traditional pan and a silicone pan are two different animals. threw our silicone out. difference may not matter to you but we didn't like them.
- the_bear_IIExplorerSilicone seems to get stained or caked to the point where they look dirty after awhile.
I've gone back to using non stick pots and pans for baking. - ReneeGExplorer

I agree. I bought them because they are lightweight, but even when using nonstick spray, batter sticks and it's hard to clean. They're taking up room more than anything in my cupboard, so out they'll go. Before I bought them, we were on a trip, and I wanted to make muffins, but no muffin pan, so I took aluminum foil, formed them into cups around the bottom of a glass, then poured my batter in. The foil stood up nicely and since I baked them on my perforated pizza pan, cooking was even. I may just keep on doing that. I'm all for less clutter in my cupboards and as a result less weight. - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIII find them to flimsy and not easy to clean.
Tossed them and used regular non-stick sheets/pans - NYCgrrlExplorer

Mostly agreed.
Doesn't brown as nicely and you have to wait until the pan is completely cooled to release the cupcakes/muffins. Needs a half or cookie sheet underneath in order to get muffin tin into the oven w/o spilling.
I found cleaning was easy using KrudKutter but that cleaning product is expensive and I prefer to use it for other surfaces. - pasusanExplorerGee - now I don't know... Guess I'll try one and see how it works. I'm mainly thinking about casseroles rather than muffins or cupcakes. Not wanting to bring Corning Ware dishes and my stainless pans can take lots of soaking to get them clean.
- bob213ExplorerFor a casserole size you will need a cookie sheet under it for support. You'll end up with just as much room taken up as you would a glass baking dish or corning ware. Throw away foil makes clean up easy.

Good point! Because silicone is so flimsy and worse when full, it has to be on a cookie sheet. So now instead of just an oven safe dish, you have to have an extra one for support.
