My cell phone does not get many spam calls but the wife's phone gets hundreds. Both have the same area code and the same first 3 digits but the differences are like night and day. Mine has been on the DNC registry for years and the wife's number is a "new to us" phone number that used to be owned by someone else (based upon the collection calls she also receives). Both phones are listed with DNC but as others have mentioned, this does not really mean much.
