I don't know, I have never seen a AV mode out that small, maybe they have them in China like THIS ?
to avoid having to drive all over to radio shack, etc. trying to find one I went back to that site and selected one. a slight snag occurred when it showed that the minimum order was for 200 units. if you want 199 of them I'll order them.

yep, that looks like what is needed, don't know about stereo however. the $17.88 special in front of me has a similar hole marked AV out so I guess it is a pretty standard thing. but only two RCA plugs, red and grey. I thought red/white were stereo audio, and the yellow was video?
just found a mini phono plug and it does go into the "hole" on my cheapie. have to see if the shack has that connector cord.

- BumpyroadExploreryep, discovered that the "OK" button was the record button. what type of connector is the round AV out interface. mine included a couple of cords but none with a small round plug.
bumpy - IAMICHABODExplorer IIYour welcome! Nice to hear back on this unit. Hope it works as good as mine has.
The instructions are a bit vague, but keep fooling with it and you will figure it out. I just found out how to play back a segment on it live.
Good Luck. - BumpyroadExplorergot my unit yesterday. is a lot sharper than my $17.88 special D'OH. :)
evidently a reputable supplier, thanks for putting me onto them.
bumpy - BumpyroadExplorerordered the G1W two days ago. they were a little vague as to when it would arrive.
thanks,
bumpy - IAMICHABODExplorer IIYes, but the GS8000 Has a different version of the Novatek.
Yes I would prefer the G1W After reading this in the Revue
"There is a cheaper Novatek version of this camera for sale as well. The Novatek version has worse video quality and is not recommended with the growing complaints of reliability problems, we cannot recommend this camera."
That is the one you referenced which is, BTW the same seller that sold me the counterfeit GS1000,admitted it and refunded my money. after 3 months. - BumpyroadExplorer

BTW, I've had no luck with two car DVRs I've bought. Both bought from U.S. suppliers, and both returned for poor quality. Basically, unusable video.
I would suggest the G1W for a inexpensive dash cam, it has great video and does not have all the problems as the GS8000 with the Novatek as discussed HERE.
The cheap ones with the Novatek have poor video quality and have a problem with recording for a brief period, camera freezing and it just going dead, A problem I had on another cheap Novatek based dash cam.
I have recorded many hours of very good video in HD 1080 and 720p on a 32GB class 10 and also on a 16GB class 4 with the G1W and have no problems at all. I can read street signs and car license plates clearly with video taken by it. After watching This Video Compared to THIS VIDEO I can see that the G1W is vastly superior to the GS8000.
At nearly the same PRICE POINT as the GS8000 the best buy for the quality would be the G1W.
so you would prefer the G1W at your "pricepoint" link to the one I had my sights on? I thought I saw Novatek on the G1W?
