We were getting a ton of calls from a certain number that had "Private Caller" come up on our answering machine. I finally started answering it... it was the Red Cross!! Calling about blood donation. I almost blew my top at them - why would they need a "private caller" hidden number and why are they robo calling / hanging up on machines? My wife donates, AT WORK, which is why they were calling. They have pretty much stopped calling our house (finally) after I talked with a couple different people over the phone.
Why in the world would legitimate businesses or charities hide their identification and phone numbers??
