- anon125Explorerthanks all - i tried them all - nothing worked.
- Fred_n_JoExplorerI have found just what you are talking about and it had never happened to me before. I set up a trip along a known route to me between St Louis and Kansas City. I know there are rest areas on both sides of I-70 near Boonville and near Wright City. I clicked on those city names and did a find nearest search for rest areas. Each time the nearest one only had one listing (I would have expected to see both directions listed but they weren't) so I selected it and added it to the route as a stop. When I zoom into those locations I see that one is on the correct lane side of my trip but the other is as you have said on the wrong lane side. When I zoom into the rest area that is not on the correct lane I see there is a rest area icon on both sides so I tried to drag the stop across the highway to the other icon and it wouldn't go, it just jumped back to the wrong side. This is an apparent concern with S&T but it ain't going to be fixed. I did try to drag the wrong location to the opposite side but not drop it on the icon, instead I dropped it just onto one of the rest area roads and it stayed there so after a re-calculation of the route all was good.
I hope this helps - Fred_n_JoExplorerSorry that didn't work for you. Perhaps I should have been more specific. Left click on the unwanted stop number and the selection box will appear around it. Left click again within that box and hold the button while you drag the box to the desired location and release.
Another way to accomplish this would be to zoom into the location you want the stop to be and do a right click, select "route", select "add as stop" and then delete the unwanted location. - anon125Explorer

As was suggested zoom into map so that both rest areas are shown. Click on the stop number located in the wrong location and a box will appear around it to indicate that it is selected. Then click and drag that stop to the correct rest area location and then recalculate your route.
tell my computer that!
it just adds another stop on the wrong side!
thanks - Fred_n_JoExplorerAs was suggested zoom into map so that both rest areas are shown. Click on the stop number located in the wrong location and a box will appear around it to indicate that it is selected. Then click and drag that stop to the correct rest area location and then recalculate your route.
- FizzExplorerS&T will always be my first goto maping app.
It's the best for a quick estimate for a trip.
Plot a route, put in gas prices, gas milage, hit the button and there you go, a rough estimate of time and cost.
After that you can refine your needs with google or whatever. - az99ExplorerQuitting after the 2013 version is certainly going out on a losing note. :) IMHO 2013 was by far the worst they ever released. Hard to use and many inaccuracies.
- Dandy_DanExplorerThe Rand McNally GPS has done us well.
- anon125Explorerthanks all
- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IINothing is perfect. I still use Rand McNally TripMaker (last update 2000 or 2002) for the majority of my routing and then if I want more details I just move to Google Maps. I "have" S&T 2013 but find it to be very clunky compared to most anything else.
S&T 2013 is the last S&T that Microsoft is going to release so it's time to move on anyway!
