How to Change a tire on a camping trailer

So I got a flat on the way home from a trip and had to change it. it was trickier then I thought it would be. The double axial and the spinning wheel every time you tired to loosen the nut, was a pain. I created a tutorial in case any one has troubles like I did.

    Loosen lug nuts, Drive forward or back depending on blown tire onto leveling blocks, change tire, drive off leveling blocks, tighten lug nuts. Input expletives where needed. Have not needed chalks.

    Why would you?

    The remaining tire on that side might have sustained damage from having to carry all the weight on that side. Some people carry 2 spares for this reason.

    You loosen the nuts BEFORE you jack it up, Or at least I did.

    You also need to be careful about jack placement and a few other things.

    One final tool.. I have multiple impact wrenches, including an electric designed specifically for changing tires.. never have a charge on it though

    I have 3 Air powered ones and a nice compressor, 450 Foot Pounds (Motor home tires) not a problem

    If you mean on the side of the road, no... I don't have that many spares on hand.

    If you are thinking about any extra wear that the "surviving" tire experienced, I would take that into consideration along with the age of the remaining tires. If they are all older (5+ years or so) I would look into replacing all of them when I was able to.

    I use a truck jack... I found out that the jack that comes with my tow vehicle (F250 pickup) fits under my camper. And the extension bars that come with it work great.

    I put the jack under the axle if possible, so I am not jacking on the frame of the camper. If needed, use a piece of wood to cushion and spread out the force a little to avoid denting or bending anything.

    I would avoid using WD-40 (torque issues). Instead keep a long breaker bar on hand. It would be a good idea to re-torque after 50 miles as well.
    How many here would replace the "good" tire that's adjacent to the flat as well?

    No you are just lifting the axle with the flat tire. It's not lifting both tires off the ground.

    Loosen the lugs
    Place jack on a board or whatever so it is stable under the axle/spring. Not inboard. Close to the wheel
    Jack it up.
    Swap flat tire
    Dont put all the weight of one side of the rig on the tire that isn't flat.
